ABUJA—IMMEDIATE past Minister of Education,
Mallam Ibrahim Shekarau, said yesterday, that
President Muhammadu Buhari was romancing
with politicians who destroyed Nigeria for 16
years.


Shekarau, who spoke in an interview with
newsmen in Abuja, wondered why the President
was now romancing former President Olusegun
Obasanjo, who, according to him, ruled the
country for eight of Peoples Democratic Party’s
16 years of administering Nigeria.


Reacting to President Buhari’s claim that he
came to right the wrongs of 16 years mess
created by the PDP, the former governor, who is
also a member of the PDP review committee,
described all the political parties as necessary
evil.


He said: “Buhari has said that he has come to
right the wrongs of 16-year mess by the PDP.
So, I said, ‘Mr. President you are welcome, but
reminded that 10 of those 16 years belong to ex-
President Obasanjo.


‘’He had his eight years and by indirect remote
control, two years of late President Umaru
Yar’Adua was Obasanjo’s. And Obasanjo was
the one who produced Yar’Adua and Jonathan.
Until three years ago when they fell out
(Obasanjo and Jonathan), Obasanjo was in
charge.


“Obasanjo today belongs to those who are chief
advisers to President Muhammadu Buhari.
Governor of Kaduna State, Mallam Nasiru El-
Rufai, was one of the major hit men of Obasanjo,
my former governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso, was
one of the boys of Obasanjo as well as former
Governors Bukola Saraki, Goje and all the rest of
them.


“They were part of those 16 years which
President Buhari was saying that PDP messed up
Nigeria, and today because they are APC, they
are saints. They are now surrounding the
President as his chief advisers. The Amaechis
are all part of the PDP.


“All the election crisis that President Buhari was
accusing PDP of perpetrating were a creation of
these people, the same who are with him now.
“So what sense does it make that I said you are
thief for 16 years, I have come to correct the
wrongs that you did and now I am calling you the
chief adviser in order to right the wrongs that
you committed.


“Does it make sense? We are waiting to see how
they will come out of this.”

It will only take wisdom from God for buhari to survive this but in the other way set a thief as the chief security so there won't be crime in that area.

As painful as it is to admit, one would have to agree with Shekarau, especially as it concerns that Ota Emperor.

In any case, I have observed that a civil servant who resumes work at office by 10am will immediately start resuming work by 7.45am if he takes up an employment with the bank. Our security officers who act like touts here in Nigeria suddenly behaves in exemplary manner once they go on int'l peace missions. Even our erudite NOI was said to have performed differently under GEJ and OBJ.

My point is that the Leader, Environment and Rules will bring out different behavior from those being led. That is why, I believe, PMB has spent the last 4 months preparing the ground rules and the kind of environment these folks will operate. We'll surely see a different character from these same ol' peeps.

But why is Shekarau now taking a moral high ground criticizing PMB advisers, when he himself was a Governor for 8 years and also a Minister and adviser of PGEJ.

If PMB had appointed him a Minister, would he still be holding this view?

Obasanjo is a national antiquity associated with every failed administration in Nigeria.
General Buhari should run from General Obasanjo or prepare to waste his time in office for 8 out of the so called 16 wasted years were under Obasanjo's watch and he also created the regimes that "wasted" the remaining 8 and he is at it again with this administration.

FACT.

Mallam Shekarau has tactically spoken a hard truth here but unfortunately many APC goons won't agree that this is a technical knock out against APC / Buhari.

I don't blame you guys for supporting PMB I know you just wanted the best for Nigeria, you believed PMB wanted to fight corruption I wanted to believe it too.

Now we have to tell ourselves the truth.
Remember our parents use to say your grandmama and grandpapa were so strict and mean but let the grandchildren do anything they want? No matter how bad, now matter how they catch you they will not cane you like they did your parents. This is the current situation fellow 95% . Buhari is too old to do what he wants and we have been fooled. It hurts but if we don't face truth it will kill this country!
