Etisalat wiped the airtime of quite a huge number of clients. They claimed it was due to fraudulent means of getting the airtime. They said getting airtime from nearest vendors is no longer safe as they will keep wiping the airtime whenever fraudulent ones are attached. "Get your airtime via e-top up or visit our nearest Etisalat experience center to get ur airtime", they said.

Some people claimed they wiped as low as #50 and as high as #150,000. Even if the trace of the fraudulent airtime is #10, all the airtime on ur line will be wiped.

You won't get any notification from them, all u will discover is ur airtime has disappeared.

Do u think wiping the airtime of innocent clients is the best way to address stolen airtime which is due to their insecurity?

But if I were to contribute, I would simply say Etisalat is incompetent and they lack respect towards their end users.

I am also a victim of this airtime wipe....Etisalat rob me #9000 and claim I have fraudulent e-airtime (airtime I bought from gtb) now the question is those gtbank sell fraudulent airtime? ?? Dat question remain unanswered.... even if I hv fraudulent airtime on my fone how did d airtime come about....is it my fault that they can't manage their business properly!!? Said they are sorry that part of the airtime was gotten fraudulently and I as them to tell me the particular fraud.. . They didn't show me.. . All I got was sorry which is though unacceptable, I powerlessly retire to the fate

Have you called their customer care to report?
Keep calling their customer care line; if you call a lot of times within a small period of time a supervisor will call you back.
Or go to their experience center to launch a complaint.
