My sister, I don't need to check them before I know. With the way they flooded everywhere, you will know without checking.

I am very glad how UNILAG students who went on that trip came out here en masse to defend their lecturers and their institution.
I must add that I read that post yesterday and it was a member of the team who was in that bus that posted the story. Just take it easy on the individual when fished out, but he or she must be cautioned.
Kudos to that lecturer. I can imagine how restless students can be, but for him to have stamped his authority, and demand for a written letter from whosoever was adamant to leave the bus is what saved the situation. I recommend an award for him.

If the lecturers had actually threatened the students, wouldn't they just report the injustice to the media once again? It is obvious the inaccurate tale that was told previously was enough to irritate the students to the point that they created Nairaland accounts just to let the world know that their lecturers did their best during an unforeseen circumstance.

All this is the work of one person with too much time and data on his hands. There's no way I believe a group of friends would come together to 'troll' this forum. I believe the story of yesterday more than this rebuttal.

I don't understand how one individual spread so much false information in one post. It's unfair and very wrong.

Infact, i now believe yesterday story as the truth.
I know Nigeria well enough to know that yesterday's story must have gotten some people involved in trouble.
The lecturers must have threatened the students and now they are all here like the coward most people are. Posting disclaimer.
Isnt it curious that all of the sudden, majority of the student corroborating this new story are Geoscience student.

pls dear commenters lets be logical how can a random blogger akin know what happened better than those students who were in the "supposed" danger? It makes no sense! I think there are better ways to gain attention than hovering around and framing people up! I mean how is Mr Akin who put up the story last night now a married woman edakun? That is impersonation and shows criminal tendencies meaning his story might just be as false as he is. He didn't quote any one he said "I am a married woman". For God's sake people.

Good point, you noticed well, but not all. It was posted yesterday night, while we were at the breakdown site of the vehicle. Most of our phones were off, after all we had been out all day long. So I personally just noticed the post this morning.....and realized it might be very devasting if we keep mute about it. It could tarnish the image of the dept and all. So we have decided to speak out the truth...to be heard. Do you understand sir?

I'm impressed at the efforts of the students to redeem their image. After all all of you saying they are threatened would not also sit down while you are being framed up. Keep it up. #ProudAkokite for life!
