Lately.....yes, but previously he made some marks and won the heart of some Nigerians, hence his position till date..
But, hey! Pitty the guy he has some brain issues which he survived a major surgery just recently.

Julius Agwu has never been funny as far as in concerned. I've been to several shows at which he performed and his performances have always been bland like soured ogi

It has become so annoying on Nairaland these days. Agwu was booed, yes, I was there, but was it on an account of his tribe? Y would someone now say such a thing that it was cos he was Igbo. We are destroying ourselves everyday wiv dis tribalism nonsense and some people are making positions, appointments and money out of it. All sides have been told numerous lies to create a programmed machine ready to fight against the other, ad they understand best from the stories heard. But what ever happened to critical thinking by youths these days. What ever happened to objectivity?
U better all start thinking of forging ahead as many would be consumed and destroyed by it due to their own self inflicted problems and hatred for another. Agwu was booed, next is his tribe.

Is comedy supposed to be a career in the first place ?

Julius Agwu should understand that talents run out, but skills dont. He should go and re-learn comedy if he wants to continue to earn a living as a comedian. I do not know how one believes he can make a joke for a permanent living but has done nothing to harness the jokes.

I dont care where you come from, but if I pay that money and come into the hall and you are not funny, I will boo you. If you take my money, you are obligated to make me laugh.

THÉ truth is that none of the comedians we have are funny.......I watched Julius agwu when he started, same with seyi law, basket mouth I go dye........they all were funny when they started.....guess in Nigeria when you have made it, the motivation to excel reduces........it happens with african footballers abroad

To be a comedian is not by talking like and acting like slowpoke on stage... it by cracking jokes(funny incidents) and not acting.

I felt embarrassed today for Julius Agwu the ace comedian that was just getting over the brain surgery,it happened today when glo the foremost Africa telecom company brought down their lafftafest train to ibadan and Julius Agwu was featured to perform. He got on the stage and was well applauded but after few minutes Ibadan people got bored of his unfunny jokes and they started sing in Yoruba language "Ese o Ese o awa ma lo" Julius thought it was a joke initially and continue his joke but later Ibadan people change their language to English saying Go, Go Go........Well thanks to Seyi law who quickly showed up on the stage and Julius left...........
