That doesn't mean we will end up buying him. There are always speculations. We have been linked to Nolito, Yarmolenko and recently Aubameyang. Remember, we can only spend just a paltry 10million Euros in January unless the Camp Nuo naming deal pulls through before then. Plus, there are speculations about Ander Herrera, and also Reus and Gundogan in recent times still.

Me no dey put mind for all those speculations. Of course one or more can be true, but then, until January comes I don't believe any of them.

I will try.

Owing to the size of our squad (that is the amount of salary that is being paid out) and coupled with the fact that our debt is at 300+million Euros, we can't afford to spend anything higher than 10million with the FP regulation. If we were to be able to sign above that amount, we must sell or have additional means of generating revenues.

Alternatively, if we can secure the Camp Nuo naming rights deal before the end of the year, it would automatically remove that barrier because we would have secured another source of income outside the usual, it would also allow us to offset some of our debts (as UEFA says every club must pay around 10-15% of their debts every season to be able to operate properly.

In conclusion, the factors that affects that amount are but not limited to: the players' salary, the club's income, the external debt the club is owing, lack of new sources of revenue, and non-sales if players.
