Football's Biggest Three: Messi,ronaldo And .....??? by haywhy911(op):
This decade has seen Leo Messi and Ronaldo dominate world football but recently debate has continuously raged on the player who should join this duo as football's biggest trio. Many once argued Falcao and Ribery should join the duo but recently more names have popped up.
1. Neymar
2.Hazard
3.Suarez
4.Robben
5.Aguero
So who's your pick.?Which player do you think should join Messi and Ronaldo.

Which kain platform?
A player that has played in the final of the biggest competition in European football. What platform is bigger than that in Europe?!!!
Aguero has never even played in a UCL QF and is in your shortlist.

i understand u bro! But u have to also agree with me that the pressure that comes with playing 4 a club lyk Man City aint the same as that of Dortmund (considering Dortmund's level now). And u also know that goals are the major criteria in judging excellence in modern football. Reus doesn't have a consistent goals return.

Reus is not a striker!. He's an AM/Winger. You can't judge him based on number of goals scores. Iniesta does not score quarter the amt of goals aguero scores, but he is definitely a better player than aguero!.
Reus performance has helped is team to a CL final (the biggest stage); how has aguero's goals helped his team in the biggest stage (UCL)?!!

nice point bro! Buh lets not 4get that Lewandowski played a more important role in getting that Dortmund team to the final. Remember that 4-goal thriller against Madrid? We shouldn't also 4get that this is an individual-based argument and nt a team. Ronaldo wil surely feature in the Ballon d'or top three even tho' hz goals took Madrid nowhere. If u say he is an AM and that he shouldnt be judged by goals, that means DeBruyne,Silva and Toure are ahead of him

The basis of your argument was that Reus has not performed @ the biggest stage and I've been able to give you an adequate answer with how he featured prominently in his side's march to the finals in 2012/2013 season.
You also said Dortmund are a small club and Reus is not performing under pressure. Number 1,that's laughable (calling BVB a small club). No 2,Of playing for a small club helps a player to perform better as he is not under pressure; why then didn't Aguero reach the UCL finals with Atletico?!

Marco Reus, for me, is the most underrated player in Europe!

ur argument revolves around the UCL final but Reus wasn't the driving force. They had a Lewandowski and a Gotze (who was far better than Reus). The Aguero that played in Atleti isn't the same aguero we know today. He's now a more refined player and we've seen how he has single handedly rescue City in big games. Also, saying Dortmund is a small team aint laughable.its the fact. Dortmund were rock-bottom in the league in January. And to further illustrate how Reus' significance to Dortmund is exaggerated,he failed to steer hz team to the UCL coz the main men,Lewy and Gotze weren't in the club. To an extent,Man City has suffered ill-luck in the UCL. Squaring off against Barca twice is no joke

Bullocks!
Your argument(as stated in your first post) revolved around the biggest stage which logically is the UCL Final!

You could also say the way Lewy was influential to BVB then is the way Yaya is to Man city now and the way gotze was influential then too is the way silva is to man city!. Plus,I actually think it's bullshyte to say reus was a passenger in that 2012/2013 bvb team; he was just as influential as lewy and for me,more influential than gotze!

Aguero was about the same age then, the age reus was in 2012/2013,so no excuses for him!. If reus can help is team then to a UCL final, then I see why not Aguero can't !

so you think gotze was more important to the team that year than reus ..laughable.. yea very the season before that he was injured and wasn't missed cuz kagawa before transferring to utd filled all his absence the following season boy wonder reus came along and delivered epic performance and gotze was the passenger cuz gundougan is the one doing most of the midfield work lest I forget we had Sven bender supporting him ..I know why you rated gotze very maybe cuz he got a Bayern deal but gotze can never measure up to reus

Exactly bro! The Bayern scouts knew what they were going for. That's why they place a bid on Gotze and Lewy

bro, this is what i said ''he has to showcase his talent on platform bigger than Dortmund's. I wasn't talking of the BIGGEST STAGE. U started that. Am sure u'll agree with me that playing for a 'big team' is different from playing for a 'very big team'. Felipe Luis is one glaring example. Okay, lets leave that. But if u say Reus should make the shortlist because he has played in the final (and lost),what do we say about Neymar and his UCL campaign last season. If we are to go by ur point, then Neymar is most deserving. Good morning.

Enough of dis argument guys,u both av points......marco reus is a gr8 player as well but not as d same level as lewy currently...if i get Leithner well,u talkin about a season brilliance but dnt let it skip ur mind dat dis guy is injury prone.nd to talk of season brilliance l,u remember wat d likes alvaro morata, carlos tevez and paul pogba played last season...i mean last season only.but @officiallewy is a monster only if u watch him only in UCL alone u'll be comparing hi with lewy.wat makes LM10 and CR7 above d rest players is deir personal brilliance, dey can single-handedly destroy any team wen dey ar on top form like dis lewy we ar talkin about.remember his four goals against real madrid, five goals against wolfsborg and his two goal goals against marco reus side two weaks ago.nd mind you,@officiallewy is on 10 match scoring streak...
