Private school pupils are very DULL..... They are only good at speaking irrelevant grammars and phonetics but have nothing upstairs, most of them can't even write what they speak...... Most of them are spoilt

And about how the proprietress or proprietor treat their teachers ... That's so true, they ENSLAVE them.
If you make good research as a parent having a child in school, you will discover that the CEO of you child school is not even a graduate of any institute, it's the teachers that are doing the work and most of them are graduate. Thank God for the extra lessons they introduced

Education is very important for National development but my country has relegated it to the background. Most people who teach in these low income private schools are fresh graduates looking for job. Many move on when they get something better.

Owning a private school is one of the toughest businesses I know. I know a few school owners and a little about their struggles. It's not easy at all.

I applied for a teaching job as an ND holder in one private school.. With the number of student they have I thought I would earning like 20k per month. After interview and micro teaching which I passed, they told me 12k last. They even called me the next day asking if I will come. I told them No. Teaching in private school is slavery on its peak. I rather be slave in a company that pays up to 30k than teaching for 12k. How much person go save each month. God help this country.

The situation is not different in GH. private schools charge very high fees and pay teachers peanuts. students from these schools obtain good grades but can hardly compete with students from public schools when they meet in institutions of higher learning.

I served in a school where teacher were paid #5000 monthly. The only person that received #10,000 at the end of the month is the. Head-master.

15k for a teacher? Pathetic! My unskilled security guard gets same amount and it comes with a self contained apartment.

Every school is a business and business owners are in business for profit. If parents won't pay much then the teachers can't earn much. I worked in a school of about 1000 students and the school fees then was 54,000 but my pay was 35,000 gross and 20,000 for lesson at the end of each term (some deductions occur however). Only advantage was that salary was regular, always. I was a computer teacher o and a B.Sc holder.

If I were in government 2 sectors i would immediately work to improve the salaries of its staff are security forces (police, navy etc) and teachers. Lecturers and doctors may not be fantastically paid (compared to their peers in europe), but for now they are far better paid than normal teachers and police and too be honest cost of living in Nigeria is far lower than Europe anyway.

keeping a child in school from 8am to 6pm in the name of lesson is counter-productive. Not good at all.
