It's disheartening anyway....... I am still trying to come to terms with the youth are not ready for leadership joke and here is yet another one.... I feel so ashamed as youth when youth leadership in Nigeria is being discussed.. I know am a worthy youth capable of leading this nation but the fact that the elites have stolen a lot of our resources (money, future,sense) and are now using these to hold us to eternal ransom...
Our education system has also made it impossible to produce youth leaders (imagine graduating at 24 from a university with zero experience about grassroots politics except you serve this same Elites

don't mind our politicians and don't use nairaland to judge the general intelligence of the average Nigerian youth ,on nairaland less than 5% of the youth here are intelligent but believe me there are outstanding youths within Nigeria and abroad who can do 100 times better than the ppl buhari has nominated .but they aren't into politics and these youths are purely in their chosen fields .the truth is regardless of whatever the VP says ,for you to get appointed you have to belong to apc or a political party and these outstanding youths aren't interested in the dirty political terrain of Nigeria.maybe the veepee should be ashamed that his party does not have at least one outstanding youth worthy enough of been appointed

we really have to sit up and challenge anyone who pops up his head to address Nigeria youths in a silly manner as if it is an extension of NANS.

when it is election time or campaign periods ,they don't have any problem identifying and recruiting outstanding youths to help them win their elections by campaigning for them and engaging the opposition in serious intelligent debates and arguments but when it comes to appointments that is when they realize that the youths are no longer outstanding

Let's use NL as the largest youth platform in Nigeria to judge, how many dudes can we all agree to hold a political post here, or let's move to our institutions(SUG), how many SUG members can we recommend.
I know we have Omojuwa and the likes, but activism is different from governance. With time, I believe the likes of Omojuwa, Egghead and co can be tutored into political system, but for now, it's a no for me. We are not in a trial stage, we need the system first before we go on trials.
