Osun state used to pay corpers #5,000 but it seemed they stop during our turn. They conducted the state data capturing for our batch(B2014)but just couldn't pay us. Apart from state allowance, I don't regret anything.

Now, my advice: it is always exciting to join your mates to serve your country. It is fun, you should just go get the experience BUT most people frown back home after service. Where you are serving doesn't matter but your plan after service is what matters. If you plan to raise money during your service year and may be to start up business, then, Osun state may not be your right destination unless you have another source of income may be from parents or relatives. #19,800 is not that big again. If you eventually end up being posted to public school which I am 99.999% sure you will end up in unless you are in medical field, you are going to rent your house and the landlords there are now cashing in on poor corpers. If you have option I would I advise you to consider it, I don't personally believe in NYSC again. It is time to take your destiny into your hands. IT IS NOT AN INSPIRING STATE. Apart from the politicians which are common in every household there, the next social class there are corps members. So, instead of you looking up to some people dressing up every morning for work like what is obtainable in every developed state, the indegines look up to you as corper.
