Uniben4sure:
Sometimes when I am tempted to engage my Yoruba brethren in tribal e-war, I pause to think about the quality Yoruba men and women who have impacted my life positively. I can count at least five yorubas who have made more impacts in my life than even my own tribesmen.

I am equally sure that many of my Yoruba brethren who are honest enough can attest to the fact that they have been positively impacted in one way or the other by Igbo's .

If the foregoing statements are factual, and if the majority of the two tribes adhere to the Christian faith, why then do we find it difficult to forgive each other's shortcomings? Why have the Igbo's refused to forgive the Yoruba's for the roles SOME of them played in the civil war, and why would the Yoruba's chose to attack Igbo's living in their lands because of the political choices made by SOME Igbo's or because of the comments of a microscopic few Igbo's on social media?

It is unfortunate that most of these tribal attacks have been aided and abetted by our elders and even traditional rulers who ordinarily should be in the forefront of redirecting the young ones towards the path of peaceful coexistence.

For those those of you who like to beat the drums of war, let me inform you that wars are no friends to any side as both sides are left to count losses at the end. Besides, let's not forget that we already have our lovely daughters and sisters who are married to both sides. Think about what will become of them in the event of tribal war.

I am writing this piece to make a passionate appeal to both sides to call themselves to order. All these tribal scuffles should stop. Let us apply common sense and let peace reign between the two tribes. Some people up north are taking advantage of our inability to unite to perpetuate themselves in power, yet we have refused to put aside our differences and work together.

Please, this thread is not for another tribal e-war, but for us to have a sober reflection and make amends in the way we relate with each other.

Let him who has ears hear.

Thank you for reading.

Simple rules, when in Rome behave like a Roman. And do to others what you want them to do to you.

Why is it that your selective amnesia relapses only when Yoruba respond to Ibo's shenanigans?

Ibos have been going crazy and you didn't call them to order but as soon as we look in their direction, you remember how to be good neighbors.

Enough of these threads! If you really hope to achieve something worthwhile, why don't you call for a truce so as to know where to put blame next time. Yoruba are just now responding to Ibos after years of abuses.

Uniben4sure, these pple are dangerous and untrust worthy for u to think u can settle with them. Pls learn from the past and stop ur holy holy attitude. Na u holy pass ? Dis is about national/tribal interest not personal. Igbo is a nation her interest should come b4 anyother.

Experience is the best teacher they say, simply shows that, u can't leave d past behind. Yorubas are chronic enemies of Igbo nation that nothing will appease them other than them seeing Igbo below them. Wake up.

Hausas/fulani can be trusted on this path u are following as they are always sincere when they tell u they are sincere, not yorubas.

Yorubas will accept ur olive branch to plan ur downfall and then mocku so much that u'll feel u'll be better dead than staying alive.
Not all Yoruba's are dangerous and untrustworthy. I am talking from experience.

Pasnally I feel abit diminished weneva I hav 2 dish it 2 one or two yoruba peeps here.but d truth is dat somtimes u hav 2 stoop 2 d height of a dwarf 2 reciprocate his earlier blows so dat he doesn't start describin u as incapable. You should be more concerned of how both parties can find a way to be in their own seperate space
Their own seperate nation
It is foolish to continue living within the same space with someone you are not related to who you are constantly at loggerheads with

Nne, you got my post wrong. I know that the great Igbo nation are no less than any tribe in Nigeria. I also know that the Yoruba nation equally are a force to reckon with.

My dear, so long as we are still in Nigeria we need each other. Until we resolve to go our separate ways, we can't deny the fact that we need each other. And since majority of Igbo elites seem not interested in working towards separation but would rather join forces with Nigerian government to frustrate the efforts of those working towards it, is it not better we sue for peace? I think it is.

You are the hamster on treadmill here! You are a liar just like the rest of your tribe. I've been right here since the days of dayokanu and he was only responding to Ibos, he didn't start it, and I felt he was too soft on you goats.

Writing epistles whenever your hands are caught in the the cookie jar to divert attention from the issues is all too common with you Ibos.

I dare all you Ibos to show the world that you have any other thing to live for other than "Yoruba is this and that" by agreeing to a truce, and we Yoruba will give you one extra month of bashing us without responding in kind.

This is the fourth time I'm talking about a truce as way to remind those with short memories about which tribe started tribalism and still can't do without it. But none of you can take it up cos you won't have anything else to talk about, Yoruba validate Ibos.

That is what I don't understand about Yorubas. Some Eboe unatics woke up one da went on rampage and Killed Akintola ,Fajuyi,Okotie-Eboh,Ahmadu Bello Balewa and many more. They then went on to hand over government to another Eboe and started making records like Ewu be na akwa etc to celebrate Today Yorubas carry on as if nothing happened.personally I do not "unnerstan"

Your writeup (tho quiet incoherent) still points to the bottom line of the issue
And that is that the 2 parties as well other parties within the fraudulent contraception should go their seperate ways back to their original setup and space in order for them to start truely charting a cause for themselves

If you and those people you mentioned are not ready
Other people are ready
When the time comes
You and those people you mentioned who believe they are not ready should step aside and allow those who are ready to do what they came to do
One thing is certain
This must definately happen
Only thing is the earlier it happens the better for everybody

Please ignore those hateful, jealous and filthy popinjays. Just like during the subsidy removal campaigns, they are now also playing out a script of sectional interest. The grab and keep all that's Lagos to the exclusion of others, especially IGBOS, is falling down badly, hence this engendering of e-warriors to trumpet these endless chatter. LAGOS, and anywhere in this country WILL CONTINUE TO HOME TO IGBOS REGARDLESS, UNTIL THE FEDERAL REPUBLIC OF NIGERIA CEASES TO EXIST. WE ARE ALL IN "ONE NIGERIA" as they wished and killed/died for it back then.
