So the army can neglect duty during this regime? But the previous regime was criticised for punishing some officers and the current leader even recalled them.

Ransom-Kuti was convicted not for fleeing but for allowing arms to fall into the hands of terrorists.. Perhaps the weapons could have been destroyed as they fled.

The first count charge, which was “cowardly behaviour”, was struck out but he was found guilty on count charge number two which was “failure to perform military duties” and was dismissed from the Nigerian Army.

I think that before any Yoruba man will be admitted into Nigerian army henceforth, he will be tested properly to avoid this kind of act of Cowardice exhibited by this Kuti, this is a real embarrassment to gallant Nigerian army

Nigerian Army and their stupid way of communicating, even an active member of Nigerian Army can't understand the term which the man is being tried for.

If you want to communicate, then do not using ambiguous terminologies.

As far as i'm concerned, the man hasn't done anything wrong.

No coward can endure basic military training. That is certain. This guy is just the fall guy. It is curious that he has decided not to make a public statement about the charges against him.

This reminds me of those soldiers who complained that the military was ill-equipped for battle with BH.

Cowards in what sense? What was the military operation he refused to carry out? Or have you forgotten that so many soldiers were also shown the way out all to later discover that they were instructed to face bokoharam without weapons to fight. Is refusal to commit suicide your definition of coward?

By the way, members of the Kuti family including their family are known to be brave fighters. He was probably dismissed because he wouldn't be involved in fraudulent deals thereby prompting them to set him up You got no point
