SMH for Nigeria, in saner clime Amaechi should not have been nominated for a ministerial position owing to the fact that there is grand swell of corruption allegations that marred his tenure as Governor. But no, how can he not be nominated when he was alleged to be the person that bankrolled APC presidential campaign. Thank God i never believed in any useless politician in Nigeria with their empty claims. Nigerian senators are hypocrites from the presidency to the lowest level of authority.

The way and manner the senators from Rivers and the PDP in Rivers and now extending to national are handling the Amaechi issue tells no other thing other than political witch hunt. This is just because of his role in the dethronement of GEJ. Do you think the APC who's the beneficiary of this should allow PDP do such? Not even in the US will any party allow that. The desperation to stop Amaechi is just too much. The majority leader echoed what I said yesterday, being a minister doesn't confer immunity on anyone. They still have every time to pursue him on his alleged looting of Rivers but if they are trying by all means to stop his confirmation, it only points to vendetta which the whole nation will not grant them.

all former governors in the senate whether pdp or apc will support Amaechi, they know how to protect their own, they are not as divisive as people think, wike should use his head and learn from fayose, you can't stop a former governor from being screened as a minister by the senate, especially when the senate president is a former governor himself.

if anyone watch our political space carefully, its a cylce, former governors become senators or ministers, the ones who become ministers to be screened by the senate will always have their peers in the senate and you know what again, a former senator who was a governor before could be a minister tomorrow e.g. Ngige. As a staunch PDP, here my advice: voice your concerns/disdaon but give Amaechi the ministerial slot. It clearly proves thst GMB's so called anti corruption is a total FARCE.

i am neutral my bro..reason why i dont want to see ameachi in that house...for a perfect incorruptible man like buhari ,ameachi should by now be interrogated by the efcc and charged if possible..even as allegations are flying right left center the apc led government still wants to ensure ameachi becomes a minister..have you asked yourself why.....would you not agree that the apc led government is on a vendetta witch hunting mission from their recent anti corruption war....you aren't sounding objective and neutral bro on this...
