dejsmiles:It may be weighty but legislative arm cannot constitute itself to judiciary arm. Any allegation of graft not established on the bench cannot be used against anyone on the floor of the senate. Anyone can write and rewrite petition to the senate, if not on the ground of competence of such individual, it's void and no effect. Your statement is just on emotional ground and cannot stand the test of the law. |

IzonOwei: Bunkum. Only fools will be deceived. So called neutrals won't make serious allegations but when called upon to substantiate they go dumb. Amaechi is in court demanding that wike present all his evidence that has made him to term him a thief but so far the thug has refused to do such. More than 2 weeks after omereji submitted his report which wike promised to act on immediately, the thug hasn't done anything about it. He hasn't even instructed his AG to commence prosecution based on his so called weighy facts Omereji found out. Till date, Wike has refused to published state accounts as at the time he was taking over as at May 29 in order to buttress his allegations that amaechi bleeded the state. These and many more reasons sane minds knows that wike and his co fools are just wasting their time. Besides, a minister doesn't have immunity. Whenever wike is ready, let him go to court with his facts. The Lion of the tribe of ND remains unperturbed. If he could come out victorious from the biggest political battle of his life which is booting out a known curse from aso rock, who the Ffuck then is wike? He is a small fish. |

saintandsinnerz:Mr. Man, you write rubbish. Has Amaechi be found guilty of any offence? Mere writing petition does not amount to the ruling of the bench. Anyone can write and rewrite petition against anyone but until the court establish such act, it is void and no effect on the floor of the senate. The senate rule even captured that, the any issue still pending in court cannot be discuss on the floor of the senate. Meaning they cannot constitute themselves to be judge. It's the judiciary that confirmed one guilty or not guilty and not legislative arm. So, in a saner sphere you quoted, he's still innocent until court prove otherwise. |

IzonOwei: I Av repeatedly told u that u Aren't neutral. Ur true self was even well revealed as soon as Jonah-daft was booted out. It's obvious u and ur fellow fake neutralists are yet to recover from the fools loss. Wait again, when Wike promised immediate action. Continue to deceive ur self. The rest of ur rant is just senseless. |

ihatesycophant:I guess you will extend this your ''innocent till proven guilty'' to others accused of corruption like Stella Oduah, Allison Madueke, and other people accused of corruption in the former regime. If you don't then you are a deluded hypocrite! And let me ask you, why haven't EFCC invite Amaechi for questioning? They invited Godswill Akpabio based on petition written against him by an Abuja based lawyer, but have failed to invite Amaechi since August that a petition by a civil society coalition against corruption submitted against him. Now typical of the man you are - a hypocrite, you will claim it is a witch hunt by Nyesom Wike. But we ask who cares if it is a witch hunt or not insofar there is a prima facia case against him. Keeping deluding yourself, very soon everything will clear for your eyes, though if only hypocrisy has not eaten so deep in you |

dekdek:i am neutral..i am only partial when it comes to the niger delta...maybe you dont understand my stance...i dont know where you are from...but i speak for myself...i have on this forum castigated my own people and supported them when the need arises...my fight is different...anyone who is not for the niger delta or ready to develop it is who i am against...so understand that...GEJs loss was expected because he wasn't strong enough to rule a mad country like naija...He didnt accomplish much for the niger delta and i am bitterly angry with him..but i wont sit down and watch hypocrites act like they care about the humans living in this mad country...look at how the apc lied about our refineries..how long do we sit down and gulp in such lies...rubbish.. |

IzonOwei:That's the unacceptable line of blackmail the PDP has been trying to use in hoodwinking the president into dropping Amaechi. These things don't happen that way. It smacks of nothing else other than desperation and blackmail. The underlying factor is a minister is not having immunity so the PDP should should forget their ambition of not seeing him as a minister and pursue their case against him in court. For now, we all assume he is being trumped up because of his role in the last elections. It will be foolhardy for the APC to allow that happen. For me I will like to see him in jail if he's guilty but not on this PDP desperate and vendetta looking terms. On the APC being on witch hunting, it's still too early for me to jump to such conclusions as we still looking. It will not serve me any good if the president pursues PDP ONLY and leave APC thieves to be gallivanting about. That is not what we fought for, I know the value of a corruption free society enough not to be in such shoes. |

APC + PDP = corruption, they are all after self interest, Buhari has been a disappointment thus far... I hope Nigerians will realize soon enough. |

IzonOwei: Ur "moralistic " stance only came to fore as soon as Jonah-daft was booted out. Where were ur cries and current lamentations when he was in charge? We're u not among those "our son", "our oyel" town criers? U claimed now that u won't sit down and watch current "hypocrites". Didn't u sit down and watched aloof all throughout the drunkard was in charge? |

dekdek:oboy you never knew my stance before gejs loss,so how would you know anything about what i stand for...i condemn all who stand in the way of the progress of the niger delta..i stand against anyone who doesn't fight for resource control...i advocate for our oil and the general living of each niger deltan...we deserve to run our oil by ourselves and let every state fight for its won resources...Gej misused the chance given to us to progress beyond expectations...but also note that while i am angry with GEJ that doesnt mean i should be smiling with buhari who lied his way into power.. |
| Re: APC, PDP Senators Set For Battle Over Amaechi by philips70(m): 10:41am On Oct 19, 2015 |
IzonOwei:I would rather not blame whatever is happening at EFCC on the president as at now. The president himself is not happy and satisfied with whatever is going on there and that's why he set up a committee headed by Sagay to advise of which they have not submitted their reports. What you should ask yourself is what has the EFCC being doing about Sylva's case all this while? What have they even done with anyone's case? Do you really think Buhari called Lamorde and asked him to hands off Sylva's case while he himself is complaining the anti graft agencies are not effective? Lots of these things have too much been politicised. By the time we have an effective judicial system and anti graft agencies which hopefully the new minister of justice and the national assembly should put together (If the PDP in there will allow) then I can begin to judge the president on the fight against corruption. For now it's still work in progress and the PDP seems to be jumping the gun. Me and you know they would rather nothing is done and the status quo ante remains, na their way far back. For now you guys should forget about Amaechi not being confirmed a minister, it's not in national interest. |

philips70:would you have precluded the ex president from blame if what is happening in efcc now happened then and how do you know buhari didnt call lamorde to take his hands off sylvas case ...the problem phillip is that you trust buhari so much that you think he is beyond nepotism and favoritism...i think you should start viewing this guy with a more neutral lens...if buhari had any integrity before i am sorry to say it is diminishing...witch hunting and party politics has eaten the man up just in four months... |

IzonOwei: U are basically dancing aimlessly around the bush. In ur last post, u raised some points as against this current government. The question is why were ur quiet on these same points when "our son" was in charge? Am not interested in ur Asari/Tompolo /Boyloaf brand of chest beating. These lot Av proven that there are no freedom fighters anywhere especially down here in ND. U lot are only fighting for nothing else but ur pocket. Biko free me. Pending when a SOVEREIGN national conference is convened as against the fraud Jonah-daft gave us, that oil u are reffering to belongs to NIGERIA. And Nigeria will do to it what she deems fit. |

dekdek:and did you know me when GEJ was in power>??...and yes tompolo and the rest are fighitng/fought for their pockets...that doesn't mean the fight for resource control has ended...and may i tell you nigeria can be made ungovernable if the niger delta gets its act right...which ofcourse is lurking...i wonder why i discuss issues of such imoportance to the niger delta with a non niger deltan like you... ....the bolded was quickly shoved aside by the parasites of this fraudulent nation... |

people don't really understand the political history being set by our leaders and it sets my teeth at edge, when people come to attack Amaechi and say they have a neutral standing. now here are my thoughts about this man. people are too in a hurry to see results while they won't work for it to happen. this man did nothing to deny him a spot for his ministerial nomination, he should be allowed to go there, because from my observations people talk about him "betraying his brother" I begin to wonder how and who did the best of betrayal that marked the worst of it all. people collected money to deliver the ex-president and docked the money, came out and lost even their polling units which was in front of their houses, some settled themselves during campaign, some settled themselves during the crisis between CRA, between OBJ, and a list of too many enemies lined up as against GEJ and people are calling CRA a betrayal to his region, someone that was squeezed by the FG, my fellow nairalanders he did nothing to GEJ, if ED. clark can come out to slam GEJ openly which cut is the deepest? if the militants didn't even riot for one day till today and they claimed to have his back which cut is the deepest? if ex-ministers decided to bleed the country dry without considering the man on top and his ambitions which cut is the deepest? with all the hate game and all the blame game on rivals, lack of calculations on political strategies, they went to war leaving their biggest assets behind which was their brains and they are blaming it on one individual that couldn't sleep well during GEJ time as president, a man that couldn't eat well, please the PDP should go back to the drawing board and see how they can regroup themselves and form something formidable in order to withstand the wind of the APC. no one in politics is a saint, let them allow the law to take it's course. I keep saying it that we need to see things differently before we judge, I hated ameachi's administration because it never reflected in my life I kept having problems with the administration so I went on sabbatical leave and I belong to no party, there I watched how things went and I felt pity for them because with this power sharing formula both APC and PDP Will not get a good balance in rivers state. the people lack understanding about the history so no one should be quick to judge, allow PMB rule and when they fail a new change will occur simple! |
