Chairman of a Pan-Yoruba socio-cultural and political organisation, Afenifere, Chief Ayo Adebanjo, said yesterday that the All Progressives Congress (APC) was not ready for power when it won the presidential election on March 28. He said the party only planned to oust former president, Dr. Goodluck Jonathan, from office. Adebanjo said this during the public presentation of a book written by former minister of Education, Prof. Tunde Adeniran: Serving My Fatherland Volumes One and Two, in commemoration of his 70th birthday in Ibadan yesterday. The occasion was graced by eminent Nigerians such as the Ondo State governor, Dr. Olusegun Mimiko; former governor of Ekiti State, Mr. Segun Oni; former Military Administrators, Gen Raji Rasaki (retd) and Oladayo Popoola; former minister of Sports and Special Duties, Prof Taoheed Adedoja and others. Adebanjo, who said he doesn’t want Buhari to fail, argued that the leadership crisis that rocked APC at the inception of the current administration showed that decision-makers in the party never agreed on the sharing formula for positions before the general elections. “The APC only agreed on sending Jonathan away. What they would do for the country, they never agreed on. They have various vested interests. “That was why there was crisis in the party. You don’t share the booties after winning the war. You should have agreed on how to share the booties when you were still fighting the war,” he said. Governor Mimiko, who commended Prof Adeniran for writing the book, asserted that it was very important for politicians to document their experiences so that people would also know that they had rendered selfless services to uplift humanity. His words: “I am here because I am excited about the personality of Prof. Tunde Adeniran, not only as an intellectual but also as a politician. It is important for the intellectuals in politics to document their experiences.” https://www.today.ng/news/26447/apc-not-ready-to-govern-afenifere |

They are still in opposition, I don't blame them cos that's what you get when you win office through propaganda. More than 100 days after swearing in, PMB was forced by the media/citizens to send a hastily prepared ministerial list to the Senate so as to beat September deadline. Same list has seen two names changed without any explanation to Nigerians |

Not surprising. Afenifere, better known as "Afeni ferawon" pitched their tent with PDP/GEJ and we all know they all lost woefully. The effect of that unexpected loss has been very devastating to all the losers and it's the reason they keep barking and behaving like rabid dogs. |

Even without saying this things... Nigeria has been on a close study to know the real mission of APC... Just after which the PDPn defected to APC and OBJ followed suit.. There, people began to doubt the party's mission for leadership! It wasn't too long after the election when Buhari was sworn in that many of his promises choked on him and he began to deny several of his promises. Buhari had promised the Country so many things that many people are beginning to forget. At first... Looking in his manifesto, it was a misleading manifesto. Buhari will be the worst president that this country has ever voted for... First, he was for all and for nobdy. Then, he wasn't a magician And later he was too old to do most of the things he would've done when he was younger... Etcetera Etcetera....!! |
