Archicad and revit software which one is better? I'm an architect and very perfect in drafting and archicad, I just love some designs I see, which is better?

In my opinion, Revit is better. Both are good for modelling and design. But Revit is more accepted worldwide because it is easier to collaborate with Structural Engrs, M&E Engineers using same revit model. In terms of rendering you can also export revit and archicad to 3dsmax for better visualization, but the fact that Revit is developed by same people that have max will be expected to perform better.

How can I use 3D max?

You need to go for the training or install it and use the help file. It's quite complex, but you can export revit model for better rendering in it.

Can I also use 3D max to render archicad?

Yes. Export the file as .3ds then import in max.

3dsmax is still a bit more straight than complex in my own opinion. It's sister app Maya is more challenging and complex to master. As long as it's for rendering and architectural visualisation you will be fine. Check www.youtube.com, www.digitaltutors.com and www.lynda.com for videos on it.

You are right. Maya is more complex

I personally prefer Revit Architecture because it's easier for me to work in 3dsmax or Maya via exporting as CAD or FBX rather than 3ds format. I learnt it in a shorter time compared to ArchiCAD(which I couldn't just get the hang of it with its user interface)
