YouTube stars have been transcending the online world lately and now some of the top-earning personalities have been revealed!

This is the first time that Forbes has ranked the top-paid YouTube stars and you might be surprised to find out how much some of these acts make, especially for playing video games at home.

1. Pew Die Pie ($12 million)
The top earning Youtube brought in $12 million this years and he has 40 million people that subscribe to his videos, which features himself playing video game

2. {tie} Smosh ($8.5 million)
childhood besties Ian Hecox and Anthony who are known as the comedy act Smosh, shot to stardom online to their action pokemon skit. their earning this year tailed $8.5 million

2. {tie} Fine brothers ($8.5 million)
this duo has earned $8.5 million this years and their even Daytime Emmy Award for their reaction videos series. they moved from Youtube to the small screen in 2014 with their Nickledeon series

4. Lindsey Stirling ($6 million)
Lindsey has gone on to great fame, thanks to her youtube channel, which she started after she couldn't get a record deal. she is a violinist who also dance while she plays and she has earned $6 million this year

5. {tie} Rheth and Link ($4.5 million)
Rheth and Link, whose real name are Rheth Mc Laughlin and Charles Lincoln Neal earned 4.5 million this year, thanks to their comedy videos. most of their money comes from sponsored videos. they have deal with Gillete, Toyota and more.

5. {tie} KSI ($4.5 million)
KSI is a british video game comentor who earned $4.5 million this year, thanks to his loyal 11 million followers. he even launched a hip-hop music career, thanks to his massive fan base.

7. Michelle Phan ($3 million)
Michelle Phan is known for her make-up tutorial videos and she even thought herself how to do it all in the first place, she made 3 million this year and stays business savvy by reinvesting in herself..

8. {tie} Lilly Singh ($2.5 million)
Lilly a stand up comedian known for her Youtube name "Superwoman" earned $2.5 million in 2015. She went on a world tour this year that visited 27 countries around the world

Roman earned $2.5 million over last year, thanks to the Pranks he pulls on Youtube, watch by over 7 million follower

8. {tie} Rosanna Pansino ($2.5 million)
Rosanna has earned $2.5 million in the past year, thanks to her baking tutorials. She even published her first cookbook this month and forged partnership with Wilton Brands Pan and Trays
