No NIGERIA police station can easily process 500 surrendering activists even in 48hrs, and when the 500 are spontaneous across all the police stations in the region, the system will collapse. That is what IPOB should do if they have the organizational and operational ability. It's a game changer!

In anycase, even by Nigeria standard, you can't ship people from police station straight to prison without tagging or registering them. And how are you going to transport them? These stations that hardly have vehicles or fuel to run them when they have. Even if you ship them to prison, the prisons will be overwhelmed, and besides what about the publicity and bad media such will generate across the globe?

Surely, that won't even bode well for a new president who has several other items on his plate.

1)IPOB have no ideology, they just a bunch miscreants with lots of time on their hands so this your suggestion is dead on arrival.
2) Most Nigerians know that it is better to sleep under a bridge than a police cell/ prison so most IPOB members would stay far away.
3) Nigerian police and extra judicial killings are like 5 and 6. So processing 500 people is not a big deal when you have live specimen to do target practice.
4) I'd wager a bet that 50% of people in Nigerian prisons are there awaiting trial. IPOB members know that entering a Nigerian prison is easy, coming out is the problem especially when you don't "know" someone.

I can assure you that the Nigerian Police that I know and that can kill because of N20, will pack all the 500 in a 2by2inches cell and the licky survivors will be bailed by their families with thousands of naira.
