No, I've never heard or seen or read of that before. Most applicants do not appear in person and they do not need any supporting documents. You only submit your passport data page and you get a visa.

you can get in 24 hours but most often i get mine within 3 days worst that happend was 7 days.you need s genuine agent to get the visa.you wont need to suffer on that as there are many.

just scan you passport data page to the agent it doesnt cost more than $ 200..... .is this your first time of travelling out?
customs can be difficult so make sure you dres responsibly and book hotel reservation ...no need to pay as there are many sites that allow you to book free.

you going for shopping ?................stay in deira gives you easier access to lots.most nigerians stay there and you will come across many friendly nigerians ready to sdvise you on where to go shopping .you have nigerian restaurants.consider going first week of january that is between january 5 to february 4th as its dubai shopping festival
