You asked me who abi? Who else if not the disputers of this age?

Am looking for my Jonny. Johnydon22. Where's he?
Come and tell me why am so concious of some of my body parts. Whether its hot or cold, I still cover them up. Even in my dreams, if I dream being naked, it bothers me, why?
How come we look at people who dress to expose their private parts as inappropriate? When did that conciousness get to man?
Why won't I just see a solid Dude on the way, grap him and get it done right there by the road? Why do I need to lock up my door, before I can get naked and do things?
What informed me of that?

How did shame and embarrassment get into man's conciousness?
Again I ask, where are they?

This is Johnydon22 the anti-spam bot banned my ass for my reply to your post... maybe its too long so i have break it into many pieces now so as not tk get banned again...

You see most times i just get past any thread that wreak of emotional sentiment, take a look around the thread and see, its more like a clowning party. . . Anyway you called me to answer the questions you raised and i will oblige.

Societal ethics is the construct of a society not an innate quality, societal ethics stems from the need for mutual societal interactions by members of a society.

Humans are one of the only animals known the utilize tools in solving problems, Chimpanzees use tools too but not like humans.

Clothing first and for most in humans is an external adaptive feature for temperature regulation, an animal with fur would grow thick furs when faced with extremely cold temperatures.

The primary role of human clothing is for temperature regulation...

[b]

You are in a society where the ethics involve being fully clothed, you are not conscious of your unclothedness because being naked is bad, No but because the ethical dictates of the society you were born into involves clothing, you grew up with this and this societal construct is interwoven into the very fabrics of your psychology.

How come this girl is not conscious (as you put it) of her unclothedness?https://www.nudistjoy.com/pictures/2012/topless-tribes.jpg

how come she could walk around unclad and is not in the least ashamed of it but you can't even walk around her on just bra?

-Your society ethical lay out expects clothing

- Her society dubs it normal ...

If you were born in Igbo land a 100years back, you would have been walking around bare chested with brass anklets and it was a very normal societal behaviour, no shame in fact wearing clothes was a strange thing in such societies.

How come present Igbos now wear clothes and would frown at anyone who walked around unclad?

Was this an innate quality or did the society and societal expectations Change?

I'd let you be the judge of that...smiley

[b]

Like i asserted above it is as a result of societal ethical expectations. . . the Bush men of the kalahari desert walk about unclad, it is neither seen as inappropriate by them or wrong.

In fact wearing clothes is more inappropriate. . . how come this society doesn't find this inappropriate as you dub it?

Please societal ethics as regard clothing differs from society to society and each society determines what it finds appropriate or not.

Do not make absolute assertions as regards humanity only from your own societal stand point.. .Your mindset of being clothed or ideology that being naked outside is wrong is not a human quality, rather it is as a result of your society..

Humans being unclad is not a bad thing, but the ethical expectations as regard that action differs from society to society... It is wrong for you to label psychological tilts resulting from your societal effect as an innate quality.

the ethiopain Dessanech tribe disagrees with you ..lol... wink Youtube

Am sure i have fully answered this. . . Every society determines it's tenets and norms. . . Your behavioural ethics are subjects of the resulting societal ethic instigated by any society you find yourself in.

E.G: In this society being Homosexual is a crime and attracts 14years jail term.

But in America it is just another sexual orientation and you can get married and be happy..

You see? Moral expectations as regards varying societies are as a result of the society and this ethic is not an innate quality but a subjective quality as regard varying societal norms.

How did shame and embarrassment get into man's conciousness?
Again I ask, where are they?
LOL... The shame comes from the fact that the society you are into chastises it.

It is not imbedded in human consciousness as you argued.

If you were born right now in Swaziland you would have been doing this; Dancing naked with tall reeds during their maiden reed dances.

Am sure i have shown you that being unclad or not is not an innate human quality, the societal moral weight on clothes or unclothedness is not intertwined in human consciousness but is as a result of the individuals societal tenets.

Do not judge human behaviour from the stand point of your own society.. this i have just shown to be wrong.

Not being well for a while so my nairaland activities lessened of late, just needed to clear these things out because you called me...

Have a good one... Am angry at you now for calling me here just to get my damn ass banned over this angry

Re: The Origin of Na.kedness by Johnysky(m): 6:03pm On Oct 24, 2015
Anas09 i hope i have cleared it out for you that your awareness of being unclad or not has nothing to do with your consciousness as a human but merely a psychological response to the ethical expectations of your OWN society and this varies from soceity to society.

Because someone living in a place where female trousers are deemed inappropriate cannot assert that her awareness of wearing a trouser is an innate human quality....

The day man sinned against GOD in the garden of EDen, man knew he was naked.

Do not fall for the evolutionary crap, that is just a lie from the devil to drag his minions into the pit of hell
How about the amazonians who go around naked ,
are they not part of those who "sinned" ?
Re: The Origin of Na.kedness by Nobody: 7:57pm On Oct 24, 2015
What of some african tribes that are still roaming bare ass? There is no theological connection to unclothedness, our view of unclothedness is subjective as unclothedness can be viewed differently in different culture.
Re: The Origin of Na.kedness by GooseBaba: 4:46pm On Oct 25, 2015
It's a pity that someone's mind revolves around a primitive story book. While they foolishly ignore facts.. There are people in 2015 whose societies do not wear clothes and they've their own deities not phylosophies. Those who opt to wear clothes among their tribe members do so because of their exposure to other societies that do.. FACT..!! not because it was written somewhere...

You cannot subject human intelligence to a construct of man, but we can objectively align it with nature.

Therefore bringing in a story book to lay claims on man's intelligence as the act of a foreign diety simply showcase the arrant stupidity of the adherents of this dumb diety.

@ bolded, I knew someone must have been wondering why i made the last statement about breasts.

I expected that soon people would go to google to show us pictures of australian aborigines, early indians and africans and their likes.

Interestingly all the pics above and even the link show a form of clothing/covering on their their reproductive organs.
I wouldnt want to believe that they are protecting only their reproductive organs from harsh weather conditionsgrin
Why then are they covering their reproductive organs. undecided

Maybe there something we dont know, can someone give us a list of tribes that moved or moves around stark na.ked without any form of covering around their reproductive organs.
We can learn a thing or two. Not these half na.ked ones. Thanks

There are many tribes in the Amazon jungle that move around naked. There are many videos of them on YouTube. You can watch and learn.

Bros, twale...!! My hand dey up...

No mind that guy.. He keeps mocking his own god..

It simply shows that his god is nothing but a jewish diety.. The verse he quoted about Adam and Eve clearly does not apply to these people. If adam sinned against Yahweh, these people clearly don't give a fuvk who Yahweh is, because with evidence we see them spreading their cheeks and receiving cool breeze in strategic places..

Re: The Origin of Na.kedness by dalaman:
You guys need to study things outside your myopic world view so that you will learn reality and not be grounded by the very narrow minded view of others you have been indoctrinated with to believe is the only truth.

winner01:
Good!. Sorry about the title but now that i have your attention. Lets think this out.

Now my point is, why did man start wearing clothes?
Man started wearing clothes primarily for protection against harsh weather, because it protects man from rough surfaces, rash-causing plants, insect bites, splinters, thorns and prickles by providing a barrier between the skin and the environment and later for comfort because he later realized that clothes will make him look more beautify while hiding his natural body flaws.

If the man and the woman incredibly emerged from an explosion. How did they ever come about the idea of na.kednessundecided.
Is this really a question? If the idea of clothing came from God then why do some culture not know what clothing is until other cultures came and taught them what it is?

If man evolved from animals, how come male and female animals still move around "na.ked" till date and why havent they done something about their na.kednessundecided.
Is a goat naked? Are your dogs naked? Don't they have covering on their bodies?

Some say the early man lived in an ice-blasted world where he needed to keep his body temperature at healthy levels. I say good reason, but why is it that only man has this exception. I mean other known animals and even plants have an IN-BUILT adaptation to their environment e.g Polar bears, chameleons, snails, Zerophytes e.t.c so why does man get an exception. Seems to me like something happened along the line.
You need to read about human social evolution, it has been well documented, the Europeans were the people the people that wore clothes the most. Man is the only animal that has conquered the world and has been able to create and invent things that will enable him survive in very harsh environment. A polar bear can not survive in the sahara desert, man can survive both in the arctic region and the sahara desert because he has used his brain to create things that will help him survive there.

Man couldnt have invented clothes just to look good or keep warm. He simply knew something about his na.kedness, and thats odd if you ask me because he emerged, appeared or evolved na.ked according to those theories above. So how did he know about na.kednessundecided
If you study the history of clothing you will realize that it is actually people that live in cold regions that wore clothes mostly. The Europeans and some parts of Asia that are cold wore clothes mostly and as they expanded their territory through land grab and colonialism they introduced clothing and taught their subjects how to wear clothes. Read Pizzaro's Book, he was one of the conquistadors that first went to North America and conquered it, most of the people they met there were without clothes before the white man arrived and taught them how to wear clothes. Up till today some of them don't wear clothes.

The idea of some body parts becoming private couldnt have developed over time. Man simply realised that he was na.ked and needed to cover his private parts
This is completely false because history has shown that a lot of people were living their lives completely naked without clothing until others came and introduced clothing to them. If you are a Nigerian which I believe you are then 600 years ago most of the people living in your village were moving around naked without any guilt or shame until the white man came and introduced them to clothing. Today every body in your village wears clothes and considers moving around naked to be a bad thing, something that wasn't so many many years ago.

Honestly it beats me too (Worse of all it got me banned yesterday... undecided)

Its only a show of naive ideology. . . Our guy thinks that societal ethics as regards clothing is an inherent human trait because some guy and his wife at an apple.

Betraying the innocent naive ignorance of the fact that every society varies in it's ethics as regards clothing.

Both now and down the stretching arms of historical timeline. . . I think the thread have served its purpose though... it has been addressed..

its an innocent funny but naively cute world view..

I'm truly ashamed that adults can choose to avoid reason and deliberately choose to stick with fairytales in their bid to explain man's existence. It's pathetic really.

Lol!!! You have said virtually the same thing with the guys on the first page. The original perception of na.kedness as shame still remains scientifically uncertain. Post the links to those documentaries, so we can verify their authenticity. thanks.

God-haters and their way around everything. You've all tried, individual opinions.

If the Bible wanted us to know about all things, it would have specified the humans in genesis 4:15.
But its not a story book, it only reveals us what we need to know..my opinion.

In line with God's word, we will continue to unravel the mysteries surrounding the earth.
