APC now has 20 House members, PDP 11

The Rivers State National and State Assembly  Elections Petitions Tribunal sitting in Abuja monday dealt a fatal blow on the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), nullifying the election of the Speaker of state House of Assembly, Owaji Ibani, and 20 lawmakers in the state.
The tribunal, while delivering the judgment in the case of the lawmakers cited cases of irregularities and violence among other electoral malpractices which necessitated the nullification of the lawmakers’ election victory.

The tribunal ordered fresh elections to be conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to fill the new vacant seats.

Indications however emerged that the affected legislators would appeal the judgments.

But the governorship candidate of APC in the April 11 poll, Hon. Dakuku Peterside, has said his party now has  20 legislators, as against  11 for the PDP.

Peterside whose gubernatorial ambition received a boost at the weekend when the tribunal equally annulled the elections of Governor Nyesomo Wike, ordering re-run, gave a breakdown of the current status of the assembly after the verdict monday.

He listed the APC to be victorious at- Gokana, Eleme, Obio-Akpor 1 and 2, Etche 2, Opobo/Nkoro, Akuku-Toru 2, Asari Toru 1&2, Bonny, Tai, ONELGA- 1, Degema, and  Ahoada East -1.

Others are Khana-1 and 2, Ikwerre, Phalga-2, Andoni, where elections were nullified in four different tribunals
Meanwhile, he said the  PDP were left with 11 assembly members including Oyigbo, Etche 1, Omuma, Ogu-Bolo, PHALGA-1&3,ONELGA-2, and Abua-Odual.

According him, PDP were also left with Ahoada West, and Ahoada East 2, Emuoha where the elections were upheld by the tribunal.

The report says the tribunal orders fresh election... Yet Dakuku is telling us APC are now in control of the affected LGA

Let these people in abuja not come and distabilize a peaceful state ooh abeg..

They should remember that the people living HERE in rivers state are humans too, We have 5.5 litres of blood like them, we have a life , we have a job , we have family members we care about, our lives have a story.

They should not use dirty politics to disrupt our lives, our family and the story of our life.
Statically it was not possible that APC win in rivers state , the world knows that this election was very tribal.

when people saw UMBRELLA, they imagined JONATHAN inside their head.
and
when people saw BROOM they BUHARI inside their head.

I was there on that day people were just voting PDP on all the ballot papers they were given because of the image of WIKE AND JONATHAN inside their head they didnt even know the names of the state assembly member.

IT WILL STILL HAPPEN AGAIN, THIS TIME THEY WILL IMAGINE AMAECHI ON THE BROOM AND VOTE EITHER PDP OR LABOUR PARTY.

Yoruba people bet and see, UNLESS APC RIGS WITH FEDERAL MIGHT

After BUHARI has huffed and puffed, Wike will still be standing with the lawmakers. The only thing that will come out of this is, a virulent and scorned Rivers state government, which will discretely do everything in its power to make the tenure of the President as tumultuous as possible.

I followed the judgment, some constituencies were awarded outright to APC candidates while in some areas it was either upheld or rerun ordered..

The whole turn around maintenance would have amounted to nothingness if PDP still held sway in d state house of Assembly. So now even if Wike wins d rerun, he'll b forced to behave as APC would keep him in check via d state house of Assembly. . Na now rivers state fight begin. . Politicians and their scheming. ..
