Did you guys just imply that we fought for nothing?... It is very clear from the tweets that nothing could be worse than the world record mediocrity of 2010-2015. Even if this government doesn't live up to expectation, we will gladly vote them out in 2019, but be ye reminded that no matter how bad this government turns out to be, the monumental achievement of booting the last mediocrity out can never be overemphasized.

At least now Nigerians know it is possible to boot out a non-performing incumbent, that is a great step forward.

I am so happy that the number of "wailing waillers" keep swelling by a day. Very soon, you will not be able to differentiate "wailing waillers" and "change agents" cause everybody will be a wailler. Here in the north, sai Baba has died
That's the normal thing. And what Omojuwa has done is the right thing to do and that is what all of (whether u canvassed for Buhari or not). It's quiet unfortunate that we the electorate dont recognize we can build a force to our own advantage. For God's sake we the electorate regardless of the divide we belonged to during election has no biz defending any political. We elected them to serve us, and so we are the boss. They (d politicians) recognize that every four years during the polls but suddenly grow wings once they assume office because we allow them. We sell our power, force, voice and birthright for little or nothing. Let's leave partisans for the political and put the govt of the day on its toes to our advantage.

Bros Yo fall hand! Abeg go and do unbiased research into the last government and you will see that they did a lot. Unfortunately the press was controlled by the henchmen in APC and decieved us all to think otherwise. The power, east west road, Agriculture revolution and much more were all done under the last admin and the APC led government is slowly undoing everything. I am happy to see Omojuwa is waking up to the burnt coffee. We all will begin to wail if e dont check these guys now!

Can you never address an issue in isolation?
So because he supported the booting out of a previous reign of mediocrity he should keep quiet when the new on is starting to go wrong?
If Jonathan had not failed woefully, may we will not be saddled with the rudderless govt of Buhari.
I have never been a fan of Japhet but on this post, I am completely in agreement with him.
APC spent over a decade (in various forms) fighting for power, now they have it they act completely clueless.
This is the same problem i have with Ambode. For a man who rose to the height of power in civil service and rode on the back of Fashola in the name of continuity, he acts like he just stumbled on the seat of power. We are not asking for miracles. All we ask for is act like you have a clear cut plan. Act like you applied your head to the issues of governance before you arrived in power.
Look at El-Rufai, for all his warts and running mouth, you can never deny that the man has a clear cut plan and is pursuing it with vigour.
Japhet, you are not alone in this condemnation. However, we will never regret not rewarding the failure of Jonathan. If Buhari behaves in like manner, we will boot him out in 2019. That is the power of the vote.
u will do what, vote who out, so u think the north that voted for pmb was for change abi. one million and one of u cant do nothing if pb does not perform

In 2011, the SW abandoned their own ACN candidate and they also abandoned their own son Tunde Bakare who was Buhari's VP and they voted massively for Jonathan. I guess that is your definition of voting based on tribe?

In 2011, the entire SW, NC, SS and SE and even some states in the NE like Adamawa and Taraba all voted for GEJ. Even in the NW states, GEJ pulled almost 3.4 million votes against Buhari's 6.4million votes and this is supposed to be Buhari's zone in the North. As a matter of fact, if the entire 5 million votes which GEJ got from the SE was subtracted and added to Buhari's figure, GEJ would have still won the 2011 election clean and fair, no jokes!

Fast-forward to the year 2015, a solid 5 years after everyone had sufficiently watched GEJ's performance, and the entire equation changes; the SW and NC withdraw their support, the NE states withdraw their support and also, the millions of GEJ votes from the NW disappears. The SS maintains their support for obvious reasons and the SE maintains their support (this time with fanaticism) for reasons I absolutely cannot fathom.

My brother my brother, if you cannot discern from this scenario that there was something GEJ did not do right between 2011 and 2015, then I'm sorry, your case is truly irredeemable. God help you and all others like you out there!
for ur mind u think that the north voted jona out because of incompetence. even if buhari does not do jack, they will still vote him in 2019.

Nigerian government should institutionalize something beyond corruption.

The way this PMB is going, Nigerians will be begging for food soon while his family, cronies and friends will eat straight from the cooking pot. Obviously Omjuwa's plate has been left hanging since May and he just realized there is need to cry fowl.

Change is here... Enjoy grin grin grin

Of course the north voted strictly based on tribal/regional /ethnic/religious sentiments, we all know that; and it was same for the SS & even SE. But the main point of concern is the SW and middle belt, these guys had no ethnic/tribal/religious sentimental links to both candidates hence they voted GEJ in 2011 and seeing that he wasnt up to the task, they voted the other man in 2015. Very simple logic.

Obviously you are still one of those that are still being deceived by politicians and all their 419 adverts of achievements. Aren't you even embarassed to be mentioning east-west road and power as achievement of last administration? .... what kind of ignorance do you swim in? shocked shocked

GEJ had unforgiveable flaws and an appalling performance (which by God's grace, your eyes will be opened one day and you will see it for yourself). GEJ had to just go. Now we have PMB, he has annoyingly started very slowly, but we are still patiently watching because it would be silly to pass final judgement at this stage. If down the line, he is proven to be another non-performer, he would be evacuated again in 2019 just like GEJ. I'm sure with the desperation of PDP to grab back power, they would field a very credible northerner and a very credible southeasterner in 2019. So if PMB messes up, it will be very easy to boot him out.

You are just repeating thesame lies APC fed you and you are derailing from the original argument. the argument was if Bok0hari did not perform you will vote him out as if you can do that in the absence of free and fair elections. Why dint you vote OBJ out after his first term? Cant you see the handwriting on the wall that INEC is not position to deliver fair election based on the damaged done to it after Jega left or you need an angel to tell you?

And what does your comment about free elections have to do with my first comment which you quoted?... I simply stated that it was a justified thing to do to vote out GEJ due to his abysmal performance, irrespective of whether he gave free/fair elections or not; elections are not the only needs of a developing country like ours. And of course, if PMB fails in performance, we will also look for a way to remove him when the time comes.

Any human criticising a 2 weeks old administration is not worthy of being taken seriously, Yes! most of you guys started criticising PMB from the first week.
And seven months down the line, he hasn't proved us critics wrong. For me, if there is any reason why APC is acting sane, it's because they using carrot and stick approach where Buhari is the carrot for Nigerians while APC has a party has something more devious in mind. So, my concern is beyond the travails of today!

The real questions I ponder on in the days ahead are, cos I keep hearing if they don't perform, we will vote them out and I don't think people see the bigger picture, thus my questions below,

1. Will Nigerians still have that same liberty to make choices of National Interest like they did in the last administration or have strong influence over the polity of the country has seen in the last elections?

2. Should Nigerians realise that they need to change the change by 2019, with the current greedy and violent disposition of the APC over power, will Nigerians votes once again count as the last administration made so?

3. It's only an novice that will say the ruling party isn't maiming political or percieved political opponents like the 4 yrs mandate is 40 yrs mandate that they must hold on to. So, my question is should should APC force themselves on Nigerians more than the 4 years given even though Nigerians don't want them anymore, will Nigerians have the privilege of voicing out not to say retrieve their Mandate?

With the rate at which APC is going, there is no doubt that the party has politicised every institution that are to be non partisan because from on set, they politicised everything and they will keep doing so to hold on to power beyond the next 4 yrs and to make them deep rooted. It's unfortunate that we trailing this path...

Again I say, while PDP may have their flaws, they were evolving and gradually transforming, gradually we could have seen a difference by now and making governance productive. Just a little patience was what was required. Our impatience cost us and now, we back to ground zero and it's definitely going to take a longer time to build to where we where before we can progress.

How unfortuante

I see you sticking your tongue ( tongue )out and wishing the president of your country does not perform so you can say "I told you" after 4 years. As unfortunate as that stance is, God pass una! and by God's grace, he is going to perform. He may appear annoyingly slow, but you need to understand that he is taking his time to undo decades of rot which has bedevilled the system. Remember the quote from the October first speech:

“Impatience is not a virtue. Order is more vital than speed. Careful and deliberate decisions after consultations get far better results..."

Oh yes, we are all impatient, but I am sure as a Nigerian, you should have an idea of the extent of rot in the system?... that will certainly take time to fix. The nosedive in world oil prices have also greatly not helped matters. Have you taken your time to review the last national budget of 2015?... If only you can go take a look at it, you will understand why there cannot be a single progress this year, it is not just a 'new government' thing, absolutely nothing was budgeted for capital projects in the 2015 budget and it was not PMB's government that compiled this 2015 budget. Ideally, we should patiently wait for the 2016 budget to see exactly what the CHANGE they promised us is all about. If Nigeria gets better, irrespective of who sits in Abuja, it will be to the benefit of us all; and if peradventure things don't turn out better (God forbid), just like I said earlier, we will look for a way to kick him out.

Hahaha... Let us not sit back and feign amnesia on the kind of monster PDP represented, let us not sit back and act as if PDP are saints. As bad and powerful as PDP were, somehow some way, we were able to kick them aside. Can you kindly mention one thing APC is doing today that PDP did not do even ten times over?... If you were told just 4 years ago that PDP could lose power at the centre, I'm sure you and I would have dismissed such reasoning as wishful thinking and laughed at such a prophesy. But we know the result today, with that feat alone, it should be clear to any discerning mind that as a nation, we can achieve anything we want to achieve if it becomes extremely necessary and if we are serious. You should also know that Nigerians are also now much more aware politically and with social media, information spreads instantly like wild fire. Also with the desperation of PDP to take back power, I am sure PDP would field very credible candidates in 2019 and beyond so it would never be a smooth sail for APC.

I put it to you, if APC/Buhari messes up, they can and will be kicked out. I have absolutely no worries about that.
