Ok.ok.ok..I said I wouldnt comment here again till NLNG gives us feedback but then again I wonder....I just wonder what the reactions here would be like when we finally receive that "Update:Application for employment as graduate trainee in NLNG" email...would this thread still be as active as it is or will it die down in a matter of days after "that" email?

Since i started job hunting, not seen a thread so active and for this long before...Kudos to NLNG for doing this to us...pls guys, was it like this for NNPC cos i heard it also took yrs for the candidates to get feedback?
NNPC was actually worse.

What NLNG has done to people eh...is for another thread.
Infact, we shld rename this thread "keeping up with NLNG" and when they eventually get back, we shld hv a new thread called "NLNG GT recruitment, the story continues".......

Hmmmmmm............already on page 197. shocked

Let's all calm down, seems there's so much apprehension here. Trust Me, it's best to consciously focus on what you're presently doing if you're engaged, and if you aren't, then channel your mind on something else to move on. It might be hard at first but the anxiety dwindles as time goes-by, I can attest to that.
Ask yourself, what if NLNG ceases to exist tomorrow, would your heart stop breathing?....Definite NO (except your life is tied to NLNG).

Don't let anyone determine how you should feel or think. Let's live the best of our lives jare.......
Thank God everyday, decide to be happy despite all odds, do what you love to do, invest in your Family, improve your skills and remember :You Aint Getting Younger oooooo..........For Instance, Exactly 2 years Ago, this Thread was Created (Oct 28, 2013) by Dmainman.

So Guys, I know some would say, it is easier said than done, but try, try and try......

I sincerely wish everyone the best in Life, that we shall be successful, be blessings to our families and the Nation at large no matter the outcome of this Over-long Process. God that kept us alive for 2 years, will surely keep us to achieve our destinies. AMEN. smiley

Cheers Guys smiley and Happy 2 years Anniversary. wink

“…Did you ever care to notice how the earth is being destroyed?”
Timeless lyrics from Michael Jackson’s Earth Song. We could give an answer to his question? Yes we do care. We have noticed. Well some of us have.
So now we find ourselves at a point where the ‘evil’ oil companies "rape" deep oceans to look for petroleum reserves, they pollute mangrove swamps and other aqua-dependent ecosystems with their offshore operations. By the way, oil spills everyday at an offshore rig site but not always on the same level as the Gulf oil crisis from a few years ago (just thought you should know). They violate the very innocence of nature’s creatures, upset the balance, destroy aquatic life, force sea creatures to relocate from their God-given habitats to less favorable areas where they await their inevitable fate- certain death and/or possible extinction. These ‘evil’ oil companies have gone from deep to ultra deep drilling and production in oceans. Nothing stands in their way, not even the Arctic/Antarctic ice where exploration and production is expected in the not-too-distant future.
I saw the Avatar movie a while ago and couldn’t help but notice the way the ‘Corporations’ were portrayed. Anyone who watches it would perhaps conclude that corporations have got real evil blood in them. Then I asked myself, “Are they really the evil ones?” I mean, if I go back to oil companies and their activities, I can easily ask, “Why are they drilling?”
The answer is pretty obvious, right?
“They drill for oil and gas, stupid”? I’d hear someone say. Ok, I’d apologize for the rather simplistic question and then ask, “Why are they drilling for petroleum?”
This time an answer may take a few seconds but one would definitely reply something in the neighborhood of, “Because we need it.”
At that point, we both could agree that it’s just a case of demand and supply. We want oil [its associated products and the energy derived from it] at an affordable rate. They (the corporations) head out, find the petroleum, and bring it to us.
“So who’s the evil one now?” I’d ask you. “Is it us or them?”
Let’s face it; oil isn’t the lifeblood of a thousand industries around the world. We are. Yes, all of us, including Al Gore, his narcissistic eco-celebrities, and their following of global warming preaching, pale-skinned, sick-looking, vegan ‘tree-huggers’. And now, in the 21st century, this demand for energy may have gotten out of hand and you can trust the fact that supply will rise to meet it.
