I am getting worried the way most nairalanders are reasoning along party and tribal lines without considering the reality on ground. No one need to be an economist to know that if urgent measures are not taking to boost and open our economy, then in the next three months there will be massive job loss and hyperinflation. Granted POP squandered our collective wealth for sixteen years I found dangerous that for five months APC is yet to show any economic direction when all our economic indicators are showing red! The emir of kano warned about the imminent e economic collapse last week but some people started calling a wailer. While PMB may have good intentions most of us have forgotten that the people sorrounding him in Apc were once POP members.
It will be dangerous if we all start looking for PMB body language all the time before forming our opinion. I bet it that if PMB wakes up tomorrow and declare that Amaechi is corrupt, must nairalander who has been supporting Amaechi before we start castigating him. This cult fellowship is dangerous to our nation. PMB NEEDS HELP ON THE ECONOMY..........
Nigerians deserve no mercy or pity. By January when the full hammer of mass sackings and retrenchments starts falling down on them ,many of them wont even have time for nairaland again talk less of calling some people wailers. The warning fayose is giving is the same warning everyone including buhari staunch notable apc loyalists and supporters not the nairaland apc supporters that know nothing apart from shouting wailer wailer has been giving and telling buhari to hurry up and be proactive instead of been sluggish with the economy. Bloomberg, imf, world bank ,manufacturers and investors both local and international have been sounding the same warning to buhari ,but some dumb goats will still label all these ppl and organizations as wailers.

Yes. It was so depressing such could escape from the lips of a woman. Had to see her DP and was so disappointed at the stark difference between her innocent face and her wicked heart.

http://www.vanguardngr.com/2015/10/we-cant-afford-to-pay-42-ministers-buhari/

‘There use to be forty two minister but I think we can bearly keep half of that now because we can not afford it.

‘Other may not be substantive ministers but they will seat in the cabinet because that is what the constitution said and we can’t operate outside the constitution’
‘We are reducing the number of ministries we can’t afford to pay.’

Buhari in the interview also said that the country has no money to pay salaries as the government had to seek the Central Bank governor to look for ways to pay states workers’ salaries.

‘Where is the money? Do you know the Federal Government has to help twenty seven states out of thirty six to pay salaries?.’

‘Nigeria can not pay salaries Nigeria had to summon the Governor of the Central Bank to see how it could pay salaries not to talk of projects, agreement signed with foreign countries, counter funding and so on. The country was material vandalized and morally so.’

its unfortunate that most youth on this forum are senseless & always back post that favours APC. as far as am concerned, Fayose is right
Fayose is wrong, how much was a barrel of crude sold when his oga was at the top? How much did they (PDP) spend from the treasury to retain power? How much did they leave for PMB to work with? How about the careless looting and taking loans after losing the election? What was the benchmark for 2015 budget? Pls let PMB workout something tangible gradually. PMB is on course, he need to know how minisries were functioning then ask for suggestions from their respective perm secs before choosing the best direction and hands to do the job.
All PMB and NGA need now is morale, physical and spiritual support, not quick to point out negative side without any positive suggestion.
God bless us all, the Lord is our strenght.

And yet, his slaves here and everywhere are busy talking irrationally.

Meanwhile, Buhari should just admit his lack of capacity to govern a complex economy like Nigeria's. He should call for help or resign immediately.

A smart president would be outlining his strategy to deal with the situation, not talking like someone looking for pity.

buhari should put pride aside and call peter obi secretly, ask him few questions on how he turned Anambra around and also ask obiano how he came about the resources to increase workers' salary, instead of travelling east, west, north and south searching for solution where there is non.

Was it only the PDP that used state resources to prosecute this election?

Pls I will advise you read all over again and try to be objective un your criticism and rational in your assumptions and impartial in ur judgement. Will you be happy wen your colleagues working before back at home roaming the streets. The shit this government is lamenting is not acceptable in any standard. We were made to understand that they know the country well and can rescue us from the mess we found ourselves. For your information most banks and companies ate planning to retrench workers cos of no economic policy on which they can forecast their budget. So even ordered their staffs to be careful of government jobs. Man wake up and read

You mean the lagos Ibadan road that for five years was only 16% completed while 9% has been done by the present administration to bring it to 25%.mind you the issues is on the outrageous cost it was awarded.Which they are sorting out.Nigeria was shortchange as usual by your croupt group. You are showing an electromagnetic resonance scanner. Is this what the government should be celebrating.even private hospitals have these. How many do you think will be enough for a country of over 180million.Power in as much as I would say Jonathan tried in that aspe t I would also say he ended up rubbishing the entire process. imagine the idea of selling out NEPA to competent groups and investors with the required financial resources.Only for him to sell to cronies without the experience or facial resources,With the Sam Govt now setting aside 270bn for them to borrow.Auto policy.this policy is totally inconsistent. This was attest to by Mr Commonsense Ben Bruce of balyelsal. This policy encourage the development of low class vehicle that does not meet international standard in terms of technology or safety.Have you asked your self why as the IMO state Govt stopped buying Innoson vehicles.Imagine you are in your vehicle driving all of a sudden the entire back axle fell off.I would prefer buying a Tokunbo than a Nigerian built car for now.All necessary testing agencies and facilities are not in place.I bet you non of these plants can meet the basic ISO certification.they are mainly manual in operation and over time they will forget what they are suppose to do or how thick they are suppose to weld a point or part. And this is critical. You showed trains .I laugh. Have you boarded that train.I did.in as much as I would say its and improvement.to me its not what was expected from Jonah's govt after securing loans from China. other countries who got the same loans and some even lesser came out with modern trains and speed trains.Mind you it Cost 750# naira from agado station to iddo.that means I would have to shed 1500# per day to ride a train imagine spending that.how many civil servants or Masses can afford that .spend around 40,000 on train.I have not included the cost for OK Ada or buses you would still enter to get to your house.so what achievements that are not helpful to the people.
