With the exception of NBC's The Blacklist, I can't stand watching shows with dialogue conspicuously watered down to exclude profanities, scenes noticeably devoid of nude scenes, even when shot inside a strip club or brothel, tamed gun fights conspicuously devoid of good ol' blood and gore. Provocative sex scenes non-existent. Memorable Quotes a pipe dream.

I have premium cable frontrunners like HBO and Showtime and basic cable heavyweights like FX and AMC to thank for my present predicament. They serve 'em up hardcore... just the way I like 'em.

So many new shows coming out... Alas, 95% are from broadcast networks, and predictably... boring.

Supergirl has got to be the series with most generic synopsis....It's only the first episode & it feels like it's ebbing out already ...
pfft. .... total waste of time

That guy that said breaking bad is not interesting deserves to be slapped i swear, maybe breaking bad is too advanced for him..
He should stick to Tv-14 shows like vampire diaries, the flash, etc

i saw koice post abt tv series, i have the same feeling too, i cant stand tv series without profanity, dirty crude language, sex scenes, etc. Thats why i did not follow blindspot, limitless, empire, etc

Starz, Cinemax, Fx, Hbo, Showtime, etc have curropted my mind .. Lol
even Netflix sef.

If not for the fact that Daredevil was a great show, i would have abandoned it for lack of profanity, but the action and storyline bribed me.. Lol

Sense8, remains my best show this year, the sex scenes, the change of locations, the action, it all speaks to me, especially the gay parts. #NO HOMO

Wow, a kindred spirit! I wouldn't have said it better myself. HBO, Showtime, Cinemax (HBO owned), FX, AMC, Starz, and the streaming giant Netflix have completely monopolized my choices in TV series. Any shows that weren't from any of the aforementioned, I would pay no mind to. I see them (PG14 TV shows) as crap for the most part, and rightly so, cuz those shows apart from being dialogue and scene tamed, rely more on shock and wow factors to draw the audience. To 'em, good ratings are more important to a good story.

However, Cable channels like HBO, Showtime, AMC, and streaming service, Netflix go for slow burners (my favorite kind of shows). Slow burners just like the name implys, don't care for the melodramatic, nope, it's more for realism than anything else, something an average man/woman could relate to. Slow burners usually start off slow-paced, then settles into a rhythm, the rich plot draws one in, the fantastic story telling keeps one invested, the complexity invigorating.

Slow burners like True detective, Breaking Bad, Homeland, The Wire, Masters of Sex, Bloodline, Sense 8, The Americans, Ray Donovan, TURN, etc, are the pinnacle of TV drama programming, the best of the best. Anyone that doesn't like 'em is truly and otterly missing out.

Lolz... I'm a faithful follower of Frank and Claire Underwood's exploits in the cut-throat world of American Politics. That show's superb. Netflix keeping it real. smiley

sure, homeland and ray donovan made me fall in love with showtime, We all know what HBO can do, all their shows make sense! Even Silicon valley, a 20-25 minute per episode show made sense, it lacked the sex scenes a lil bit, but look at the mature humor, that show made me laugh soo much, Hbo is king, i recommended True detective to one of my friends, he watched 3 episodes, and said it was crappy, when i asked him the kind of shows he watches, he mentioned Vampire Diaries,THE FLASH, Etc, i just ended our discussion, true detective is too advanced for his childish mind..
Arrow would have been a great show, the storyline was cool, but CW just had to ruin it with their censorship and stupid ideas, why make the show Tv 14? Any right thinking American will pay a lot of money to see Oliver Queen and Felicity Smoak naked and having raw sex grin, But no, cw just kill great shows with their primitve ideas, True blood has a very shallow story line, but it ran for 7 seasons, the show lasted long cos it gave viewers what they want, sex, no holds barred language, violence and gore, e.t.c ! Now thats a great show,

Sense8 did it for me this year, the producers brought a new thing to t.v, They combined science fiction with religion, sexuality, culture, humor,et all, they shot it in 8 countries across the planet, an average person can relate to the story line, even if you are gay, Transexual, African,Asian,German, Indian, e.tc, theres something for everybody, now thats a great show, not all those yeye kindergaten shows we see on Cw and co !

It may have something to do with the random access memory, internal storage or maybe, an incompatible OS.

Abeg lets take it easy with the talk about breaking bad, even I that consider myself the best, when it comes to movies/series was bored in the initial stage with BB, what kept me going was my interest in chemistry and the fact that I like to give benefit of the doubt as a very patient person that I am, so anyone who finds it "just there" in the beginning is overly on point jare, it does get better eventually.
