As part of our pledge to help promote and popularize AKWA-OCHA the famous and very elegant traditional attire of the Delta state Igbo speaking tribe, the Enuani people from ANIOMA extraction , Ogwashi-Uku carnival is keeping this pledge in every way, as we have diversified Akwa-Ocha from weaving to Ankara , this is for ease and cheaper method (affordability ) . Akwa-ocha, is a unique attire made from very expensive wool and woven for a period of three to four weeks before it is put in the market for sale to an intending customer. Bearing in line, the desire of the Initiator / Founder of Ogwashi-Uku Dance carnival, Anthonia Oguah a daughter of Ogwashi-Uku whose intention from the beginning of the dance carnival was to use Akwa-ocha blended with western carnival paraphernalia to create a very exquisite style and costume during the celebration of the dance carnival, however because of the high cost involved in using the original Akwa-ocha, which sadly could not be used for a celebration with over five thousand carnival enthusiast , the initiator through her dexterity went ahead to introduce Akwa-ocha in a more simpler style using the popular Ankara material to create Akwa-ocha in a much simpler creation thereby achieving the use of Akwa-ocha by all carnival participants during the annual dance fiesta .

So far, a lot of people from the Anioma Speaking tribe have applauded this initiative which is cost effective and time duration achieved within a short period for use, thus leaving the use of the authentic Akwa-ocha as ceremonial attire thereby retaining its originality for generations yet unborn. The Transformed Akwa-ocha into Ankara, gives any one interested in using /wearing the Akwa-ocha in several fabulous styles instead of being restricted to the Age -long style as worn and used years ago

What do you mean by clear Edo? Are you well atall?

Where did you see Edo there? Did the Edo invent the Coral bead?

There are no Edo influence there, just Anioma influence.

If you see any part there that resembles Edo, then know that it's Anioma influence on Edo, not the other way round.

look at that thing entirely made from corals worn by the men- Edo men use that, and the style in which the headgear worn by the women is made. clearly rings Edo.
I am not talking about the coral beads, but how they are being used.

Sorry, I refuse to see any Edo influence there. What I see is Anioma influence on Edo.

I know you just want to be Adamant.
It would surprise you, to know that that particular style of headgear is also found among the Ondos during their cultural events.
Did Anioma also influence the Ondos?

The use of coral beads is much more pronounced among the Edos than among the Anioma groups, so it isn't that hard for anyone to see who is influencing who.
