Still on Biafra, who stands to lose...? * Show me any Northerner that has a three bedroom bungalow in the southeast. I will show you thousands of Igbos that have storey buildings, shops, shopping complexes and hotels in the North. * During the 8 years Obasanjo tenure, the Yorubas were the leading economic holders and moulders. Jonathan's tenure put the Igbos on top, technically handing over all banks to them. Today, if you walk into any bank, Igbo staff outnumber others by three to one. They own the banks and will have to forego if they secede. * The Igbo generally make their money not from Igbo land, but by trading in other lands. If they seize to be Nigerians by creating Biafra, the other nationalities will not allow the economic advantage to continue. They will have to pack and leave. * There is no guarantee that the south-south will be willing to join them. Thus, they can't bank on oil to survive. Kogi may never let go the ongoing oil Wells dispute between it and Anambra state. * In the final analysis, the Biafra project is a setback to the Igbo. For us, it will be good riddance if they chose to secede.

The fact remains that... Biafrans will evolve as a country and by so doing... Will have international relationship with other foreign countries who will be willing to embrace them... History says that, the Igbos where the most highly intelligent and most schooled citizens of this country... Befor the stance on this ongoing civil war to be commence in the nearest future.... I want to believe that they have been things set in place to assist the igbos to kickstart a good economic as well as a better country... My opinion tho... If the igbos seperate and perhaps the ijaws and the North and the Southwest as well... And Nigeria is divided... There will be no sovereignty and there will be united nations of nigeria which will give Nigeria a better stand to be Africa and perhaps world strongest black nation! There will be development and good governance fron the united nations! |

Fourth point...when you Yorubas continue to say "Pack and Leave", you appear uncivilized, illiterate and vindictive. Will United States and United kingdom ask yorubas to pack and leave because Odua Republic is to be created? Do you think Biafra will sack or ask yorubas living and working in Biafraland to pack and leave? We will not do that....we are civilized. Stop this vindictiveness. |
