That chicken would not remain local...some may not eat it but would surely profit by taking it far and wide to sell ...sell fairly cheap and people would buy. Time would tell what sickness will result. Couldn't someone in Customs or authority forsee something like this happening? ...or even animals digging up the chicken? ...that putting it all into a heap and burning it would be best?

This country sha! We have hundreds of thousands hungry in various IDP camps across the nation. We have hungry prisoners in our midst and yet the customs decide to waste all these. Na waoh

If at the end of 2-4weeks no report of epidemic 4m that area then they are good to go.

For naija Like say na lag!!! Oh boy!! I go host committee of friends for the next 3 days....

The hunger wey dey this country sef. WHy customs no burn the chicken if they are sincere ?

That is customs policy. Converting that poultry to food for IDPs will require alot of letters, emails and approvals

Hope you know those birds were preserved with formaldehyde a chemical used in embalming corpses at the morgue. .if those custom officers took a trailer load, trust me they won't eat but sell it. That's how useless and inconsiderate some Nigerians can be. There's a clip in circulation right now on how the chemical is injected into chickens solely for exportation to African countries all the way from Asia

but its over d radio n tv dat nafdac tested d chiken n found out dat it was preserved with formalin(dont knw if d spelling is correct) d same used for corpse in mortuary. Away, prevention is better than cure
