On Biafra , Nigeria , Igbo And Others by tonychristopher(op): 8:23am On Nov 04, 2015
I know a lot of my people who know me will be surprised by my position ...I do not understand what this Biafra thing is ...I mean how can some dude in London will come and start tormenting trouble for us Igbo by establishing a pirate radio that it's aim is to talk down on people both Igbo and non Igbo. To me this Nnamdi KANU isn't the freedom fighter I envisage . you can't want a country on the alter of insulting your neighbours and even your self. To me I see it as infantile and childish approach . Ojukwu never insulted anybody he had an agreement with them

But this KANU approach is something else . I have not listened to him and I do not think I have that time to listen to him. Pls whoever is reading this shouldn't get it twisted ...we can't have it the way of Sudan or that of south Ossetia nor that of east Timor nor that of Eritrea and Ethiopia. We can also have it the way of north and south Korea . I know that Igbo are assets to Nigeria though they won't want to agree with that and Nigeria is asset to Igbo though we igbo won't admit that but the fact is that we have a bigger market and eco space to exploit Biafra shrinks this market from 180 million to 60 million and this we have to understand

If we can have a multi lateral and billeteral understanding between the emerging nations that will be OK instead of going this Biafra way. Biafra is very OK and I as an Igbo dude support it . what I am against is having a pyromaniac in charge of Biafra . this we have to look before we leap.

We as a country have many non violent approach and they varies left for me I think we can go confederation or united nation way. What do I mean ..we can do it like UAE where Dubai, Abu dabi which are different countries but maintain single military and security and imigration..this is workable or we can have it united kingdom way where Wales, Ireland and other independent countries like Scotland have their independent paliarment but with same currency and visa regime .

We must guarantee free movement between independent states , we must guarantee the bond and brotherhood between the constituent nations . we can't fight ourselves again but as we do this we have to develop independently . if north want sharia and Islamic economy so be it , if west want monarchial capitalism so be it and if igbo wants Republican capitalism so be it. The bottom line is that we won't fight and we have to find a way out of quagmire. We may even have independent passport in this unity if it will ever come but there must be automatic residency and business permit in constituent nations

One of the first law of nation is : SELF PRESERVATION

These are few options available and let us rest on this online Biafra and tribal bashing

Que Sera Sera ...what will be will be

If Biafra will be it will be ..if it won't be it won't be

But if it be we have to also know that good neighbour matters and left for me I think confederation of states like USA, UK and UAE is the best . Africa and the world is watching and waiting for Nigeria to crumble

We can't crumble we have to find peaceful ways to get things done

I can bet ur not a full flesh igbo born or brought up, or maybe you are a foreign based dude. you proclaimed peaceful resolutions for Biafra agenda, does it look to you as if Nigeria govt will give you that audience for a roundtable resolutions, even when an ordinary national conference done by gej has been quashed by the pedophile in government.
In your writeup you are against the personality of Nnamdi Kanu as biafra director, fine and good, but how long are we going to wait for your dead father to champion the biafra course, he-goat.

You said Nnamdi Kanu insults everybody, but you call him a pyromaniac, Someone who loves to set fires (name calling), the major problem with we igbo is that we have refused to be directed, ruled, or governed by anybody.

from the rubbish you wrote above, we should wait for eternity in this God forsaken country till when nigeria permits before we can fight for our right and self determination, infact you need to be banished completely from your village because your a disgrace to your father's land. biiig fuuuullllll

I disgree with you.

Am sure you know about Massob and their agitation.
They've been doing it peacfully for years, now what do they have to show for it? Nothing.

I see nothing wrong with Nnamdi's pattern of freedom fighting, forget about his abusive words and listen to fact he dishes out on daily basis. The truth the british and her experinental zoo won't like to hear cos it hurts their ego.

My chill and listen to RADIO BIAFRA.
Bifra is here, it cannot be stoped

Good morning all
You are talking as if you are new to Nigeria. What do you think freedom is? A situation where you praise those holding your freedom? Countries like South-Sudan and Eritrea had to fight bitter wars, lost millions of people before they could be independent but what you interested in is who Kanu insults or doesn't insult. You should even be happy it is mere insults for now and not yet action. Boko Haram are blowing everywhere up and killing people every day but your Government is considering negotiation and amnesty for them. Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB are insulting and protesting but the same Government is arresting and shooting them. Do you see the hypocrisy? When it comes to the issue of Biafra, this is the right of a people to choose their destiny. It is a personal insult on all of us that a white man can come all the way from Europe to tell us what our country is and to bastardise us with the name "Nigerian". Did you come to the world to fufil the destiny of Lord Lugard or your own destiny? To think about the Nigerian market is to think small, Nigeria is mut a tiny dot on the world map. We Igbos are thinking far beyond Nigeria. I want a Biafra where people are producing things that Japanese, Canadians, Norwagian etc are coming to buy from me. There you are thinking about Nigerian Naira.

Biafra is about people who want to be free to shape their destiny, people want to breathe fresh air, try new things, create new awareness. Biafra is not for people who think small and can't see beyond Nigeria. You talked about confederation? Forget it. It will never happen in Nigeria. The Northerners are totally against it because it will destroy their power base. The northerners would rather figh a war than give anyone confederation. Confederation is why the civil war was fought. It was confederation that Gowon signed in Aburi, Ghana but he would not implement it which directly led to Ojukwu declaring Biafra.

Godbless Biafra

Nnamdi should be able to change his approach a lot of exuberance and I do not hate violence. He should learn how to have allies ..even USA with all the military might still consult allies and why do we have NATO.... I think Nnamdi should refine his approach ..beside that he doesn't even understand military tactis and I hate this violent thing. . Africa is backward due to this violent thing

Look at Catalonia and Ireland in Europe they are doing it non violently

Freedom is not cheap, it costs lives. If Nigeria cannot grant Igbos a referendum, we will fight to be free.

Ok, and you think he will just wake up then starts ngostiating with Nigerian government from nowhere, what he's doing now is part of the base setting, if not they won't take him serious.

Then other strategies you ealier mentioned will come up this is just his foundation awareness setting strategy. Definitely Nigerian government cant, quote me anywhere, they can't kill him.

With this strategy he used, the biafra struggle has been well publicised, it only takes a bit time for the next faze, you stay and watch out.

If you are not willing to die millions of other are willing, QED

@tony, stop wasting your time on these noise makers, Kanu can never be arrested by the zoo as they said, he's been arrested and they've done nothing. Kanu can't be killed is their new mantra. I've expected violence and destruction all over the country after his arrest just as Kanu preached but only online rantings.
They'd question your paternity same way Kanu does but let them be, i await the outcome of their 1million man march.

But you know what we face in this country which is lawlessness....

I can mention more than 10 biafra struggles, including aba women riot back in the days and so many.

First time I see a reasonable and all encompassing submission.

To those drumming for war...lol, you guys think it's funny. A dude above was even making reference to South Sudan... Lol. South Sudan is worse now than when it was with the north. Violence does no one good. The best that could happen to Nigeria is regional federalism...

This was the original plan ojukwu proposed when he met gowon in aburi ghana... if Gowon had been brave enough to agree, the united confederation of nigeria would have been a great country..

U post is brilliant.. but the hungry lazy folks who depend on wealth from the Niger deltans will never agree..

It is not about having the right to secede. The issue is whatever pursued you from Nigeria will stare at you in the face when you get Biafra. Stop fighting the wrong battle.

Good morning all
i respect peoples' opinion but anytime you open a thread and the only people that find sense in what you wrote are people other than your own people, then you might have to go through your thread again.

except burning of igbo shops and likes of that, what else has the yellowba race generally fought for en mass, busybodies.
I can mention more than 10 biafra struggles, including aba women riot back in the days and so many.
we are not chest beaters as u claim neither are we cowards, and no part of Biafrans were conquered by Jihad or any of our land transfered to the Northerners like Akure+

Dont write piffles for writing sake and for cheap likes, write wifh facts cos we aren't here for children's play
Have you ever imagined what would've happened to thousands of Igbo pastors and their families in the SW if pastor Kumuyi had been killed in Aba when he visited as Kanu preached on radio, you'd understand it's not just shops.
