yes, you don't need rooting to use glo bis on any mtk device for that matter. just dial *#*#3646633#*#* or *#7465625#
You can also use either MTK Engineering Mode or Mobile uncle tools.

I doubt if you can root this device though. I tried all i could but to no avail.

Yes you can! running glo bis1k (3gb) plan on my c8.

Have tried Changing imei on my Droid pad 7c with mobile uncle but it keeps failing, rooted ooo. Any help!
