I hear a lot of people say that the IPOB (Indigenous People of Biafra) protest is being motivated and sponsored by the PDP to frustrate Buhari's government. How true is this?
Aside the arrest of their leader (Mr. Kanu), we also hear some say it's about how the south easterners are being marginalized politically, so they want to break away and live on their own.

Please I want you all to share your opinion on this.
Do you think it is being sponsored by the PDP?
Are there SouthEast APC supporters out there in support of the IPOB protest of breaking away?

What sense have you made?

It was a PDP propaganda that was sold to zombies....not it's out of the control of even the initiators themselves.

i can't speak for everyone. it's a very emotional subject. But i can assure you that most do not support it...including me.

Most are in support of it. Biafra is a sentiment shared by all true Igbo sons and daughters. Once an Igbo reads about Nigeria and the civil war the spirit possesses him. All Kalu did was to reawaken the spirit.Not even Kalu himself can stop it again.

Not all igbo men reason with their hearts.

No human being reasons with his heart. whether Igbo or not all human have sentiments.The war stories,various killings in the past even before the war and the way a country that should be for all is structured have helped shape the Igbo man's sentiment. You can't wish that away my brother. As long as the country keeps shying away from discussing the bases of cohabitation, such issues will keep coming up.

Was it PDP that motivated Biafra in 1967? Was it PDP that motivated Uwazuruike's MASSOB? Biafra precates PDP and will surely outlive it. Biafra is a people's quest for liberation from perceived marginalization in a larger Nigeria and it will be stupid to link it to any party.
Many of those your APC/Buhari's supporters from the SE will not come out openly in support of Biafra because that will mean they are betraying their principal but deep in their hearts they want an independent Biafra. My younger brother and many others I know have such attitude.

I love Nigeria because it's my country presently but still feel people should be given the chance to decide whether to remain or not. You don't force a people into an alliance or association they are not inclined to. Nigeria from the much we know was a creation of the British without any input, without the consent of the various independent 'nations' that were lumped together. They were never asked if they wanted to live as one, were not asked what name they wanted to be called.

It may seem only PDP supporters support Biafra but it's still appropriate to give even the APC supporters the opportunity to say they don't want or support Biafra. Call a referendum and let the people decide. While I may or may not vote for a one united Nigeria, yet everyone must make his choice.

If you are to do this, remember there is an elite class that will run the economy if Biafra breaks away. Do you think majority of them will support it or do you think they are ready/have an infrastructure to run a "national" economy?

Op, it is not about pdp, but enemy of my enemy is my friend. ..no true igbos like Nigeria, not even a new born baby
