iamkingzlee:Don't know what's wrong with this country man, just don't know. Lemme tell you a brief story. I am a member of many forums; social, professional, esoteric, etc. Now in one of these forums ( NL is the only Nigerian African forum I am signed to) there was a topic that was quite interesting as it bothered on world views and such. To cut a long story short, I of course gave my input via posts and stuff some quite lengthy (by NL standards) on the issue being discussed. Two weeks later I received a mail via my forum account that a member wanted to contact me. I acquiesced and allowed the member contact me. Can you believe what happened? This member was asking for my permission to publish a post of mine in his organisation's website and they were willing to pay me for it! I agreed , got paid and have had that same article published in other websites each crediting me every time as author and some on pro bono bases as I just wanted to pass good information. This won't be the first time this has happened to me. In Nigeria... Sigh |

Reyginus:That is one of the ruse they use. Asking you to send a 'test copy'. You can be sure that test copy you send will be the finished product up on their blogs and stuff. |

wristbangle:HAVE YOU EVER HEARD OF THE PHRASE "GUILTY BY ASSOCIATION"? THE OP CONFESSED THAT HE KNEW THE GUY WAS A SCAMMER BUT BELIEVED THAT HE MAY NOT BE TEMPTED TO SCAM HIM. IN OTHER WORDS, HE IS NOT BOTHERED BY THE FACT THAT THE GUY SCAMS OTHER PEOPLE, HE IS JUST AFTER GETTING PAID - THAT'S SOOO WRONG IN ALL IT RAMIFICATIONS. FROM THE OPS MINDSET, IT IS OBVIOUS THAT HE IS NOT AGAINST PEOPLE BEING SCAMMED - HE ONLY FEEL BAD BECAUSE HE ENDED UP BEING A VICTIM TOO. I CAN POSITIVELY CONCLUDE THAT THE OP - EVEN THOU HE IS A RESPECTED NAIRALANDER, IS ALSO A SCAMMER OR IS INCLINED TO BEING A SCAMMER! HE SHOULD PLS SHOVE HIS HOLIER-THAN-THOU ATTITUDE CAUSE HIM AND THE GUY THAT SCAMMED HIM ARE ALL BIRDS OF THE SAME FEATHER! ON A FINAL NOTE, ANY BODY ENGAGING IN SCAMMING AS A MEANS OF LIVELIHOOD SHOULD DO ALL HE CAN THIS YEAR - CAUSE FROM NEXT YEAR EFCC WILL GET ALL OF YOU! IF YOU LIKE HIDE IN YOUR GREAT-GRAND MOTHERS GRAVE, YOU WILL SURELY BE CAUGHT! ![]() TO BE FOREWARNED IS TO BE FOREARMED! ![]() |

Since you refused to mention his name and his blog you have protected him and given him the chance to scam other people which makes this write up a shower of sh1t |

Reyginus:What violation? Come to the Autos section where real men and women are not scared of dropping names of scammers and such. A lot of folks have been saved many a depression as a result of this. |

Brandnew2:You are very correct. |
| Re: My Experience Working For A Scammer. By Tosyne2much by Nobody: 2:00pm On Nov 12, 2015 |
There's no such thing as a respected Nairalander. The anals of fraud in property and auto section is the proof. Thread carefully and never operate on that assumption. |

hahn:Tosyne2much in addition to what this man has said, let me add that you're a pussyboy, the dream target of every business shark. If you're ever going to succeed in business in Nigeria or anywhere in the world, you have to be brave, even throughout your article you have protected him and shown him respect despite the fact that you're the victim. It's a game of the mind and he has totally dominated you. You need a bit of street OT to add to your talent or else people will mess you up. Btw do you have a written contract with this guy? |
| Re: My Experience Working For A Scammer. By Tosyne2much by hahn(m): 2:07pm On Nov 12, 2015 |
Urine:Tosyne2much is still a kid, obviously. I remember when I went through the same igbe malu with my own boss back in the day. 5k will get him a domain name and hosting and he can build a wordpress or blogger blog for himself. What exactly he is giving the man respect for, I don't know. The guy is an original ahole and should be treated as such. |
| Re: My Experience Working For A Scammer. By Tosyne2much by Nobody: 2:08pm On Nov 12, 2015 |
4C2215131:Yeah. Lesson learnt. I actually did three articles for him. |

hahn:I agree with you. |
| Re: My Experience Working For A Scammer. By Tosyne2much by 4C2215131: 2:12pm On Nov 12, 2015 |
wristbangle:Nope! I use my 4C2215131 moniker in all forums I am signed to and thus my articles are signed as such. Though when certain of my articles were published online (some poems inclusive- still wonder what they saw in those ramblings ) the publishers wanted a name change which I understood and conceeded to. So I go under a different pseudonym when my articles get published. |

MEILYN:Google adsense only pays stipends unless you are getting humongous traffic from unique visitors. You can still make a decent income from you blog through other means while Adsense would be just another means of making income. i for example wouldn't mind getting an endorsement deal from one of the communications companies while blogging. ![]() |

hahn:If he is not willing to mention the blogger, then the write up is pointless. Besides he knew he was a scam artist yet he accepted to work for him. What does that say about him? |

| Re: My Experience Working For A Scammer. By Tosyne2much by MEILYN(m): 2:22pm On Nov 12, 2015 |
Brandnew2:It takes time for that to happen. People just sit on the sidelines and believe that opening a blog will automatically get them endorsement deals. It isn't as easy as that. Adsense pays sh.t, but it still remains the most popular advertising network in the world and top companies that have endorsement deals still use this so called Adsense. For a company to even think of advertising on your blog, then your Alexa Rankings must be something to write home about amongst other things to consider which are not easy to achieve. Google Adsense is the best thing to have ever happened to bloggers. Take it or leave it. Azeez became a scammer because he didn't deal with Adsense, his adsense account was banned. Adsense would have paid him at least a million Naira monthly or more, as regards the traffic he has. |

Reyginus:Woulda made the Literature room my home in this forum, but I know differently. Now, I just post pertinent stuff in other forums in diaspora and comment every now and then here. I do post topics once in a while too. Writing intelligent and interesting stuff is not exactly a walk in the park. It is a gift and an art. Being a wordsmith. There are days that my head is just...empty. You don't have to have a degree in English to be a great writer ( that's why there are editors and stuff) , just a great imagination and the ability to ask the question; 'What If? |
| Re: My Experience Working For A Scammer. By Tosyne2much by Midecuc(m): 2:25pm On Nov 12, 2015 |
I like your write up and I really feel for you, at the same time, why do you agree to work for some who you claim has been stealing from your intelligent.( BROS I SMEEL RAT BETWEEN TWO OF YOU. ) If you has been paying your money without delay then you won't stope working for him or tell us what transpired. By the way, why don't you mention his name if you want people to be cautious, I believe you have been helping him directly or indirectly to scam scam people on internet, now he fall your agreement and you are ready to bust his bubble right, Ok if you know you are not part of the scamming business mention the person's name. You don't need to hide thief of any kind, stealing is stealing no matter what you still, and if you hide a thief then you are accomplice. Please if you want to talk through talk am totally. |
