As you read this, preparations are in top gear for the conferment of an honorary chieftaincy title on celebrated Nollywood actor, Bob-Manuel Udokwu, in his home-state of Anambra. The Eze Chukwuemeka Eri has notified the celebrated actor in a letter of nomination, of their intention to honour him with the prestigious title of 'Onye Anagba Nkili' come the 14th of November 2015 at the forthcoming Eri Festival. The actor, who has also had the privilege of being called to serve his state on several occasions, is said to have accepted the honour and is currently making plans to receive the title. Several of his colleagues in the world of make believe are already billed to attend the ceremony which promises to be grand. Bob-Manuel Udokwu can be regarded as a pioneer member of the current day Nollywood. Emerging from a very successful outing with the popular TV series "Checkmate", he featured prominently in Nollywood's pioneer movie "Living in Bondage" and ever since, there has been no looking back for this Theatre Art graduate of the University of Port Harcourt.
