WEBSOCKET... LongPolling etc...*** Are various approaches to client/server realTime communication... By real time e.g Chat/Instant messaging via d net*** Don't know TOO much about d concepts too.. But I have quite good idea about what it entails...*** Websockets concept is different from d concept Ajax uses in that... D server connection is kept open... Ajax most time queries d server every 5secs interval.... Webscoket doesn't.. Rather d connection with server is kept open n immediately d server gets a new data.. It sends it to d client.... There are other concepts too... Can't remember d exact name now.. Ummm server push...** anyways hope this been helpful.. Av fun... Modified::: Websockets have loopholes n some browsers don't even allow Websocket-ing by default...***if I can use d word **hehe*** |
