Nigerian Army Threatens To Deal With Soldiers Failing To Crush Pro-biafra-- by Nobody: 11:46pm On Nov 16, 2015
The Nigerian Army on Monday threatened to deal with any
soldier demonstrating reluctance to crush civilians agitating
for the return of the defunct Biafra Republic.
The General Officer Commanding of the 3rd Division of the
Nigerian Army, Hassan Umaru, gave the warning on Monday
at a press conference in Maxwell Kobe Cantonment, Rukuba,
Plateau State.
“It is the duty of an officer or soldier to ensure the
enforcement of law and order in conjunction with other
security agencies, troops are duty bound to intervene in any
situation to avoid a breakdown in peace and stability of an
area where they are deployed,” Mr. Umaru said.
“It is inexcusable for troops to stand aside and watch
security situation deteriorate and for avoidance of doubt,
the rule of engagement for internal security operations
include principle of minimum force and proportionality
must be applied at all times.”
The general warned officers and soldiers not to take the
sides of rebellion, saying they should adhere to their rules
of engagement in the fight against insurgents and rebels.
“Officers and soldiers have been warned not to take sides in
any conflict as anyone found aiding and abetting any act of
arson, vandalism or unprofessional conduct would be
severely dealt with according to extant laws.
“The Nigerian Army would like to send an unequivocal
warning to all and sundry, more specifically to all those
threatening and agitating for the dismemberment of
the country, committing treasonable felony and arson
as well as wanton destruction of lives and property.
“Once deployed, we shall apply the ROE [Rules of
Engagement] to the latter. It is however hoped that such
circumstances would not arise that we should be deployed
on such operations because, within the ambit of the law, we
shall apply the ROE to the fullest,” he said.
He harped on the rule of engagement of internal security
operations, including use of minimum force to stop
violence, saying it was the duty of the military intervene
whenever there is breakdown of law and order.
He also warned all Nigerians not to support disintegration of
Nigeria as a country or join any rebel group.
“The Nigerian Army would like to send an unequivocal
warning to all and sundry, more specifically to all those
threatening and agitating for the dismemberment of the
country, committing treasonable felony and arson, as well
as wanton destruction of lives and property that once
deployed, we shall apply the role of the army to the latter,”
he warned.
He also reassured Nigerians of ending the insurgency in the
North-East region this December in accordance with the
deadline given by the federal government to the Nigerian
Army.

Even if all you have up stair is PAP, can't you just manage it and at least think with it just for once?...

I said 1,000 should be killed when next they come out to protest.. So are you still planning to come out and protest over a man who would have lost all his memory through torture..

Even, if Nigeria Army can not kill as many as possible when next you come out for a protest, then I will curse them for life.. Did you know how many soldiers that have die just for this country to stand..

Well, I got no argument with you cause you got no brain upstairs. All you have there is PAP.... Try to buy as much as possible PAP and load it into your skull after that I think you will be able to think atleast. 2hours from 24hours... Good Bye Dull-Guy

[color=#1986BC]If Buhari can deal with the international outcry and retaliation from the international community via economic embargoes as well as sparking real insurrection, when institutions and structures perceived as instrument of oppression are firebombed and destroyed, from within Nigeria then he can order his zoo army populated by his tribesmen to shoot at UNARMED protesters ........The civil unrest alone apart in the aftermath should plunge the country deep into recession and eventually secession not mentioning the economic embargoes, boycotts from foreign investors, military aid cut offs which would in a larger extent would cripple the capacity of the zoo army to give war on Biafra and her armies in the long run .......The catalyst to all these is President Buhari from Daura ordering his tribesmen to shoot at UNARMED protesters in the full glare of international press, media and cameras. Re: Nigerian Army Threatens To Deal With Soldiers Failing To Crush Pro-biafra-- by kettykin: 7:19am On Nov 17, 2015
I can sense fear in the speech of the army, they are not sure how to stop biafra agitators and how things will escalate if they shoot unarmed protesters.

The military would take a very big blow if the instigate violence unnecessarily.
The biafrans might return blow for blow leading to widespread use of ammunition and weaponry which the Nigerian army might not contain.

Please Ipob should tow the line of peace for the sake of igbos who reside, do business, school in the eastern part of the country as Nigerian army can not win any conflicts in the east with out using starvation.

That's cowardice and it's typical of the Nigerian forces. A police officer is quick to gun down an unarmed civilian who's going about his normal business but when faced with heavily armed robbers you see them pull off their uniform in other to run away from the situation.

NIGERIAN ARMY COME BACK TO THE PROTESTERS AFTER YOU'VE SUCCEEDED IN DECIMATING BOKO HARAM.
