If he knows he doesn't want to pay them, why not just come out and tell Nigerians you don't trust the marketers and you would like them to go to hell. Grow some balls and act like a man, for once in your miserable life. But instead of taking a stand, the fool, decided to do nothing, while allowing the situation to denigrate to this state. The Federal Government, yesterday, approved the payment (not paid) of N413 billion to petroleum products marketers being the outstanding payment for subsidy claims‎, even as marketers insist they are owed about N470billion.

The statement, signed by the Group General Manager, Group Public Affairs Division‎, NNPC, Mr. Ohi Alegbe, noted that the payment of the outstanding N413 billion subsidy claims to oil marketers is part of the Government’s initiative of zero tolerance to fuel queues nationwide.

PPPRA recommendations

A top management source at the PPPRA, who spoke with Vanguard on the telephone, said the Agency is not aware that approvals had been given for the payment of N413 billion to marketers.

He however admitted, “Although we have made recommendations on what to be paid to the Ministry of Finance, but have not yet got any feedback,” without giving more details into how much was recommended for payment.....

I believe you guys and like minds comprehend the various news on the link you quoted and that of this thread. That after the FG had agreed and approved the payment as earlier printed in news media, there is need to verify and substantiate the claims against the approved budget. Now that it was realized that the payment of the FG approval for subsidy will amount to extra budgetary spending, the FG now writes to seek for the NA consent and approval for the payment.
I remember that I read during the submission of this year budget that there is deliberate omission of subsidy payment by the last administration knowing fully well that there is still not yet TOTAL REMOVAL OF SUBSIDY. We possibly needs to proof that our literacy is guided by a moderate research/comprehension of events.
