The police force is an executive agency under the direct control of the president. Taking away the presidents power to solely appoint and remove the police IGP will affect the presidents ability to ensure security of lives and property. What we need more at this point in time is the so much talked about decentralisation of the police force. Nigeria is ripe for state and community policing. |

seunmsg:Dogara and Saraki are gradually trying to usurp the powers of the president. These guys have a grand plan, no doubt. Ask yourself, why is this coming days after Dogara visited Atiku. |

This is how this Dogara man too will start frittering away his tenure and relevance on irrelevances. At the end of the day, he and his fellow travelers would end up trying to pass 1000 laws only one day before this assembly expires. SMH.P34c3 ..... ... |

dustmalik:Their grand plan is dead on arrival. Nigerians can easily see through their antics and shenanigans. We will never allow politicians in the National Assembly to exercise any form of control over the police force. |

APC under Buhari has set a very bad precedence on the separation of powers, politics and governance. These distractions are bound to continue till 2019. These has nothing to do with national interest. Every move will either be Pro Buhari, Pro Tinubu, Pro Saraki, Pro APC chieftains and nearly anti- masses. Its one thing to secure power, its another thing to manage it. |
