Biafra: Between The Protesters, The Government And The Masses. - And My Opinion by Nobody: 2:59pm On Nov 18, 2015
Or maybe, I should Title the post: Between Protesting South Eastern Youths, an Insensitive Government and the Helpless Nigerian Masses.

Some days ago, I went to my mum's village on my once a month routine. Though I stay in Uyo, my mum's village is in a Local Government that shares boundary with Abia State.

In the Local Government area, there's a Central Market or perhaps, the main market that sells once a week. In this market, 80% of goods( consumables and perishable goods inclusive) are brought in from Aba, Abia state.

The market sells today for the week, but the sight is so unfortunate. With a protest going on today at Aba, and the fuel scarcity menace still hanging on, the situation today is pathetic.

With Traders from Aba virtually absent in the market, most of the goods sold today are mostly leftovers of the last market day.

Though I couldn't capture the scenario on camera but Sincerely, if nothing is done about this Biafra uprising, the situation might get out of hand.

This is just my own story, from my own view of the scene. Every other Nigerian in the South South and South East, equally has a story to share on this.

That those in Lagos and Abuja, our Senators and Governors, not feeling it now, does not mean they wouldn't, if nothing is done.

And guess what, if anything happens, the masses.. The poor, helpless and unfortunate commoners, would be at the receiving end. Aba is a very important economic hub, sustaining most parts of the South South states, and the Federal government allowing it to turn to a Protest galore is a crisis on it's own.

And in my opinion, There are steps the Federal government can take to address this issue.

1. Since PMB is not ready to enforce the resolutions made at the last National Conference. He can call for another. If Regional governance is what the different regions what, ignoring it, is simply the proverbial 'shifting a fight to another day'.

2. The federal government, should take bold steps to address the issues behind this Biafra uprising.

3. Nigeria is a Nation of many people, tribes, language and ideologies. When Scotland was clamoring for independence, the British government issued out a referendum. Not the Military threatening the Protesters.

Igbos in the National Assembly, the Senators and the Reps, should speak up for those who voted them. For or Against. And the majority would take the day.

This Biafra issue should not end as a media matter, while bomb are waiting to detonate.

Let's do the Right thing to avoid War or Bloodshed.

Giving an Opinion from my Common sense..
God bless Nigeria..

I respect ur opinion. But I don't think the Nigerian govt have anything or reason to seat with separatist group like pro Biafra to discuss because GEJ our brother as we used to say here in south-south was comfortably seating for good 6 years yet, no such demand and protest went on. The Igbos are in the habit of causing problems. But when the problems comes, they will be crying and saying this groups, tribes and people hates the Igbos. The first military coup that took place in Nigeria were carried out by the Igbos. As a result, that coup led to a unitary system of govt by Gen. Aguiyi Ironsi which we are still suffering till date. As long as we are concerned, the issue of Biafra has been settled since 1970 and that was why late Ojukwu never talked about it till he died after granting him state pardon by the federal govt where they asked him to "Go and Sin No More"

Maybe until then, but for Now, Nigeria is still our country, and we still need God's blessings.

We will NOT get any of God's blessings that is what i said God will NOT bless nigeria.
If you think it's not true you can as well tell me two ways God has been blessing the country since the past 6 months.
