LEADER of the Oodua People’s Congress, OPC, Otunba Gani Adams, has announced the launch of an Oodua Radio/Magazine, in honour of the matriarch of the Awolowo dynasty, late Hannah Idowu Dideolu Awolowo.

Adams who said the launch took place in London earlier in the week, explained that the media will serve to project, enhance and showcase the Yoruba cultural heritage and tradition of the Yoruba to the world at large.
He said that there was an urgent need to resuscitate the Yoruba culture and tradition which he regretted were going extinct.

Adams said the radio station would propagate the cultural beliefs of the Yoruba through what he described as effective communication channels.

According to him, “establishing the Oodua Radio and Magazine is a deliberate attempt to showcase Yoruba culture and ethics globally.

In his address, Tourism Editor of Tribune newspapers, Gabriel Akinadewo, urged Nigerians especially the Yoruba to be culture ambassadors within and outside the country.

“We must all support the Federal Government by projecting the image and protecting the name of Nigeria for the change mantra to work and Oodua Radio is a platform for everybody living in London to do this,” he said

We the IPOO Indigenous people of Odua are no longer interested in this entity call Nigeria. We want to go we want to be on our own, we want to be free from this slavery before you throw insult at me I be Omo Yoruba. And I mean wat am saying. Click like if you agree with me.

Radio Biafra setting the pace
Radio kudirat was against d military dictatorship & its assassination of Nigerian citizens. I don't mind if radio Biafra is preaching seccession - there's freedom of speech. The problem is radio Biafra propagates lies, tribalism, ethnic hatred & an incitation to violence. Its more like radio Rwanda during d genocide.

Who or what are they copying?
If it is because of Radio Biafra, know that Radio Kudirat was before IPOD came into being.

Also, OPC 's radio is not an hate preaching, war mongering, violence inciting station like your satanic Radio Biafra. It is a cultural station for the Yorubas in diaspora.

Therefore, open your Radio Igbo too, like you did on DSTV out of your copy cat and jealous nature.

Point of correction, Yorubas are very distinct and are not like Igbos who never learnt from the history by setting up a Radio Biafra which is full of libelous statements that can disintegrate the country's unity. All hail the true son of Oduduwa. In all manners and attitude we are incomparable.

Some iPods and iPads comparing this laudable project to positively promote the culture and traditions of the Yoruba, to the truculent radio Biafra that spills hate towards other components of this nation.

If there was any comparisons at all, the pods and pads should compare their hate of a radio to kudirat radio and see how bad a copy cat ( or is it copy pad) they are.

Which pace? Yoruba people are supporting the change mantra of the present FG. Biafra radio is a secessionist radio while OPC radio is supporting nigeria govt.

seriously?.. the same OPC That were waging war against Buhari before and during election, are now supporting " the change mantra?" obviously they have been settled
Re: OPC Launches Online Radio, Magazine by tonytony208(m): 9:29am On Nov 21, 2015
You are right, especially because of the way igbos make pronouncitions. You pronounce risk as lisk. You pronounce radio as ladio. Even Lagos is ragos. Flight becomes fright. London becomes rondon. Friend becomes fliend. These things make igbos the perfect choice for radio station employment. Eediotic foool!
