What i said does not in anyway diminish the legendary status Messi has earned for himself in Barca. I just highlighted how other hitherto fringe players in the team have all raised their game and have all managed to make themselves indispensable in their own right.

That said, Messi cannot play for another team in Europe. FC Barcelona mean more to him other than a means of livelihood. Same with Xavi, Iniesta and the rest of them.
