Saudi Arabia enforces a Sunni-Hanbali/Wahabi form of Islam which is, legally speaking, more strict than the form of Islam practised in other Muslim countries. So, in KSA, no other religion is officially allowed for citizens. I'm not even talking about whether this is right or wrong, but to answer your question: officially, it's very unlikely that churches will be allowed in KSA - at least not in the near future. But foreign troops, expatriates, diplomats etc are allowed to practice their religion in their closets o. |
