Help! How Do I Solve This Problem? by Lucialovely(f): 10:38am On Nov 11, 2015
A friend of mine needs advice. She and her roommate had an agreement to pay their house rent yearly I.e she pays the house rent for 100level while her roommate pays the rent for 200level, but while they were still in 100level second semester her roommate died and now she doesn't know what to do because she already collected money from her parents for house rent of which the parents are aware that she has a roommate and can't afford to give her money for house rent twice. She needs advice on what to do ,if she can meet her roommates parents for the half payment look for another roommate?

Your friend or you?

Its better she gets another roommate. Meeting her late ex-roommate's parents for the money is just too somehow

How would she be able to find someone willing to pay one years rent in full?
because that's what it means.

Try and get another roommate that would be willing to pay half or so of the 100k. Then you make up the remaining half. This would mean telling your parents about the situation. You don't have much of a choice as it is, I don't see anybody lending a student that amount.
