Thanks for your sacrifice. Your death will not be in vain as good will surely overcome evil. May the rod of the wicked not rest over our land oh Lord!

I some how find it funny how officers are in the front lines.

Majors and captains right there.am not saying they should not be there to boost moral of their younger officer but wen 10 die in a week then something is wrong.

What happened to the troops that a Major commands, that makes him fall easily? Is hard for an American or British Officer of such cadre to die in the battle field!!

Is our NA technically incompetent?
Don't condemn like that. Have you been to guerilla war front before?. The developed countries are way ahead of third world in warfare so don't compare.

It is not hard as long as you don't hide behind to command, once you position yourself in such a way you can read and control the battle even though not directly committed the possibility of death is high.Go and check the history of the Israeli army where officers lead from the front and you will notice their high officer casualty rate. And even the US and Britain have lost majors and Lieutenant Colonels in battle.Additionally the nature of warfare in the North East is unconventional and assymetric so officers especially of that rank who command isolated operations are at risk of falling and that is why in any battle all over the world instructions are clearly spelt out on who to take over if a commander dies.My point is that it is not incompetence in any army if an officer especially a major dies.Lateef Ayangbesan rest in peace.

Grow up!
India, South Africa, and other Commonwealth nations are all Oyibo man's creation. How are they living in harmony? Do you think they are all monotonous groups of people?
They fought out the enigmas created by diversity (race & ethnicity, religion & believes) and are all growing together and creating conducive living arrangements by supporting one another and covering their blemishes in human and humane ways.

Thinking Biafra is the only way you can improve is so myopic and and watery. Ask the heavy-weight Igbo investors, they'll tell you they will never support Biafra.
Why? They will be sabotaging their business acumen, expansion and reach.
Only some myopic citizens, covetous politicians and manipulative individuals are causing the naive youths to think the best that can ever happen to them is Biafra.

THE ANALOGY IS:
A Goat can never grow to the size of a Cow. Some nations can only boast of some things with the small size but they can never match the strength that diversity will create in a bigger country....by the time the *bigger* country gets everything right.

Can't you see China, India, Russia and even USA? They are leveraging thier size to improve their countries and the world at large, so, Nigeria will one day attain that status.
