17 other senior public servants earn this over N2m basic salary and the accompanying allowances. Too long a list, to list here.

Accomodation: 200% of Basic Annual salary - N4,052,800

Utility Allowance: 30% of Basic Annual Salary - N607,920

Domestic Staff Allowance: 75% of Basic Annual Salary - N1,519,800

Entertainment Allowance: 45% of Basic Annual Salary - N911,880

Furniture Allowance: 75% of Basic Annual Salary - N1,519,800

Personal Assistant Allowance: 25% of Basic Annual Salary - N506,600

MotorVehicle Loan: 400% of Basic Annual Salary - N8,105,600

Motor Maintenance anf Fuel Allowance : 75% of Basic Annual Salary - N1,519,800

Newspaper Allowance: 15% of Basic Annual Salary - N303,960

Duty Tour Allowance: N35,000

Estacode: $900 per day on Official trips.

Medical Allowance: to be provided (Even if its N100milliom). They are covered

Security: to be provided (Reasonable)

Special Assistant: to be provided.

Severance Gratuity: 300% of Basic Annual Salary, payable after completing full tenure with the Government and pro-rated only afyer 2 years. So a minister that fulfils all the conditions would be getting approximately, 1,519,800 in the first year. Even though he is not paid until after 4years.

Leave allowance: 10% of Basic Annual Salary - N202,640

This has never changed

Likewise the " Certain Political, Public and Judicial Office Holders(Salaries and Allowances, etc) (Amendment ) Act 2008." has never changed.

So 'The Nation Newspaper's' headline that says " Buhari Shocks Ministers With Poor Salaries And Austere Allowances" has to be a result of Mathematically-challenged editors

Since Buhari sworn-in Ministers on the 11th of November 2015, he has been on 2 trips, that i know of (Please correct me if i'm wrong. Kinda feel its between 3-4):

1. Iran, spent 2days accompanied by 3 ministers (4 when you count Buhari himself as Minister of Petroleum) = 4 * $900 * 2 = $7,200 accrued to the ministers already.

2. Malta, present, but will spend 4days. Accompanied by 2 ministers (making 3, read no. 1 above if you dont understand) = 3 * $900 * 4 = $10,800.

3. From Malta, he is going to Paris, with 2 ministers and they will spend 3days which results in 3 * $900 * 3 = $8100.

Estacode accrued so far: $7,200 + $10,800 + $8100 = $26,100

Current CBN Naira-to-dollar value: N197 = $1

Estacode: N5,141,700 already. *note that i did not include special advisers who will also be paid*

At the rate with which Mr President is traveling...

Duty tour allowance is N35,000 per day.

2. 3 * N35000 * 4
