Congratulations if you have the gionee m5. Pls save the space here for useful information and discussion by not bricking your phone with an "unknown" twrp or zip su file. If you need help on how to use this monster to the max just ask and you will be taught. I still maintain that you have no need for rooting when the m5 has all you need.
Let me explain.
I used to root my former android devices to 1)tweak the power consumption 2)install dangerous 3rd party apps. 3)for the fun of it.

So I don't really do anymore.

Those of you talking about battery....
This phone with 2G/3G/4G on can last a full day.
Without putting on your data it stays 2days and 8hrs (I have tried this, trust me).
I played Asphalt 8 Airborne for 8hrs straight and the battery was 21% before I switched to Extreme Power mode.
No one should discourage you if you intend to get this device.

That was why I dropped my HTC. The battery life was awful. I have no regrets so far. Easily takes me through the day despite all I throw at it. Not a fan of the launcher though since Sense was so clean. I'm currently at 64% after 19hrs 56mins. Kindly tell PHCN or whatever their name is to bring it on!!

Hifont works fine without root but it's risky because if anything happens and d phone bricks, you may find it difficult to unbrick without root. So, root first before trying anything technical.
Contact me for how to go about the rooting.

if it's GLO network, just port or break your SIM. their problem no be small.

I've changed to Nova launcher, my best launcher ever.

Nova Launcher is nice. I prefer Action 3 Launcher though. It is lightweight and the Shutter feature is really nice.

Ifont won't work without root. Kingroot hasn't been able to root my phone. Help.
