The Igbo-Eze dialect of Northern Enugu (which calls it (Igbu) has probably been influenced by Igala, which is a Yoruboid language.

The Igbo-Eze dialect of Northern Enugu (which calls it (Igbu) has probably been influenced by Igala, which is a Yoruboid language.

Well I can say if it was Igala that influenced Igbo Eze or if it was Igbo Eze that influenced Igala -- because there are certain Igala customs and vocabulary that are considered to be original to Igbo Eze.
Also note that Igbo Eze people have another name for the small and 'cretinous' specie of snail which is similar or almost similar in other Igbo dialects. We call it NJILA -- or rather, Ejula.
