. Are you okay at all? Can you point out one specific area Nigeria has made progress since independence. The only areas I know they are progressing are Nepotism, Tribalism, Corruption, Favouritism, Stealing, Fraud, Political Assasination, Election Rigging, Forgery and any other evils you can think about. Think about Malaysia, Indonesia, even Ghana and other contemporaries of Nigeria with her quantum of Natural resources and tell me if Nigeria has made any progress or not. Infact, LET D ZOO FALL so that animals in it will have freedom. As for Biafra we are no longer part of the Zoo.

[b]There's an Igbo saying that goes "Only a person who always sits next to a king can tell you if the king has mouth odour or not". Only when you are in control of your sovereignty can you decide your fate. The biggest reason why Biafra will work is that Government will be closer to home. The way Nigeria is, political office holders are accountable to nobody. If we have Biafra comprising Igboland and much of what now know as South-South:

1] The states will be dissolved and replaced and provinces or local Government areas with full resouce control. Ijaw province will control their Oil, Porthacourt province will control their seaport, Ibibio will control their agriculture and oil. Nobody will cheat anybody. It will be much harder for an Ijaw man to steal from his fellow Ijaw man in Biafra than for the same Ijaw to steal in Bayelsa and run to Abuja for protection. When a country is smaller, it is harder to hide corruption than when it is bigger and there is more room to maneuver.

2] The laws will change to reflect who we are. Right now in Nigeria makes one man the "sole administrator" of all of Nigeria and this is bad. In Biafra, we are reverting to regional system were we will have a ceremonial president who will be commander in chief and a prime minister who will be head of Government. This way, it will much harder for any region to dominate another because the president and prime minister cannot come from the same region.

3] The capital of Biafra could be Porthacourt, Calabar, Enugu or even Yenagoa bringing Governance closer to the people and making our leaders more accessible unlike what obtains now in faraway Abuja.


4] Yoruba/Arewa dominance will be a thing of the past because 'divide and rule' will be over. As it stands now, nobody from the SS/SE area can ever be president again (unless another Yaradua dies) but in Biafra, at least one person from these two zones will be guaranteed either the presidential or Prime minister slot.

5] Biafra will finally give the people of the SE/SS area the opportunity to come up with a constitution that reflects their aspirations. As it stands now, the constitution is only benefiting a particular section of the country.

6] One of the biggest reason why Biafra will succeed is because we blessed with all we need, human or natural. It is going waste in Nigeria because we are having to serve the whims an caprices of of the Odua/Arewanistan movement.

7] we have bad leadership in Nigeria because the system allows it. The reason why it will be much harder to have bad leadership in Biafra is because Everbody can get to everybody, Biafra being a more smaller administrative area. Example , TA Orji was one of the worst Governors to come from Igbo land. The man looted Abia for 8 long years and did nothing. The reason why Orji will get away with is because of various factors such as the laws of the land, the fact that those who should make him accountable are not his people and maybe compromised and the fact that the Abuja is far away. In Biafra, the head of EFCC might have been an Ijaw man in Porthacourt who feels that it is Ijaw oil money Orji stole and this wil make him come after Orji with everything his got.

The plain fact is that, Biafra will be smaller and more manageable than the unmanageable chaos called Nigeria
