Great. It's good to see the judiciary refusing to be used as pawns by corrupt politicians.

ButI I thought there was a report thay Dokpesi had left EFCC custody a few days back. Soothing to see people like Dokpesi, Dasuki, Yuguda. Bafarawa et al spending days with EFCC even before being charged to courts. I never thought a day like this could come so soon.

You invite someone to come in for discussion,then it becomes an arrest and you hold him for over three days without charging or anything? What part of the law supports that? Isn't that torture and a violation of his basic rights?

What happened to due process? Or did his rights suddenly vanish because EFCC and DSS are the ones involved?

People will keep applauding tyranny until they become victims of it themselves.

No body is saying don't probe/ arrest/ jail but follow due process! The law was set up to be fair and not to be manipulated to favour those in power with personal grudges against their opponents.... Then its not the law anymore but a joke.

After this season movies, no govt official would steal public funds.

Am not taking side with anybody, honestly Buhari is interfering with judicial process, a man is not guilty until proven , we are gradually moving into dark age and our foolish youths are clapping for him. A man who does not pay salary as at when due is that not corruption ? Buhari is also corrupt.

Ex-Chairman of Daar Communication, Chief Raymond Dokpesi, has been released by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, after being interrogated for three days.

Chief Dokpesi was arrested and interrogated on allegations of complicity in the $2.1bn scam brought against former National Security Adviser, Col Sambo Dasuki.
Speaking to newsmen after his release, Dokpesi said “It was a change of environment; it was quite peaceful, quite okay.”
“I was granted bail yesterday, where they asked me to get two Directors of the federal government. I’m to also deposit my passport, but my lawyer was not available, and I said that I was not going to sign until he was”.
“But then, I think what they said was that the allegation was alleged conspiracy, the issuance, the transfer of funds, what do they call it?… money laundering and then misappropriation of public funds”.
“But I’m a loyal Nigerian citizen; I’m a patriotic Nigerian citizen. I have no problem and I said they are free. I would still go back. I am strong in spirit; I’m toughened.”





With the texts above, am kinda confused!

This is a welcome development. Seeing these politicians in courts gives me hope that nigeria will be great. It will serve as a deterrent to all serving politician to do things uprightly. my fear and annoyance is that the fight of pmb against corruption is selective.why hasn't anybody under apc been charged since the fight started? We are aware that most people under apc have no good political record during their tenure in pdp. Pmb should extend the fight to apc members so that we can have full confidence in his administration.besides.

EFCC, please pick him up again and lock him up till you charge Jim to court. He is a potential criminal only waiting to be pronounced guilty in competent court of law.
