The OPC is not a security agency, or affiliated with one, and so not privy to security reports.

They should not instigate hate against another tribe.

I write this as Somebody that is neither ibo or yoruba, the bloodshed and cries of bloodshed is becoming too much.

Common sense should tell you that the igbos in Lagos are completely/overwhelmingly outnumbered and encircled by Yoruba populations and territories of Lagos, Ogun and Ondo. I'm not sure you have stepped your foot into Portharcourt because if you have, you wouldn't had given out that cretinous and oblivious comment of yours. The population of Igbos in Porthacourt is not different from that of Igbos in Onitcha and Aba. The Ikwerres you mentioned are just like a community in Igbo land. And they are not different from Igbos because they speak Igbo dialect. Even the word “Ikwerre” is an Igbo word. Any one that calls Ikwerre a tribe is doing that out of hypocrisy. I was born and brought up in Porthacourt so I can assure you that Portharcourt is more or less an Igbo land. More than Half of the people that claims Ikwerre lineage today are mostly people from Owerre, Mbaise, Umuahia and Nkwerre all in Abia and IMO states who came early and took to themselves land, lived there and had family but they still know their root even till date. All these were possible because Ikwerre igbo is very easy to speak unlike the Igbo spoken by people from Abakilliki in Ebonyi and some groups in Enugu state. Just accept this lecture and don't comment indiscreetly.
