Buhari's Rejection Of Social Media Bill-The Intrigues.. by OLADD(op):
After carefully going through the press release from the presidency with regards to the proposed Social Media bill, I was left with no option but to arrive at the following conclusions:

1. Buhari had to issue the statement rejecting the Social Media Bill just to shod up his fast fading public image. The fact that the President's performance rating is plummeting day-by-day is incontrovertible.

2. He never wholeheartedly intended to dissociate his govt from the bill going by many ambiguities observed in the statement. In one vein Buhari says he would not align with the National Assembly decision, while in another, the president says he would not be averse to any regulation that supports same. That's pure mischief.

3. Buhari used the opportunity to hit back at the Senate (Dino Melaye and Saraki to be precise) for ridiculing him with the TSA/REMITA fraud alarm. The presidency used the opportunity thrown up by the Social Media Bill as a payback to the duo for daring to splash mud on Buhari's highly trumpeted integrity garment. Simple.

At what point did you see Presidency involved in the nonsense bill.

Even a day old analyst knows the Bill is WAR against SAHARA REPORTERS because of Saraki and Dino was just a side attraction.

We all know the intent of the NA on the Social Media Bill but our concern should be on the seeming prank been played to Nigerians by the Presidency judging from the ambiguities noted in its press release.

Your brain is still programmed for the analogue age. Who told the idiot like you that I am seeking attention. Nairaland is not a platform for attention seeking but public enlightenment. My post was not meant for blockheads like you but those whose reasoning ability is not impaired. I don't hate Buhari but I detest the mischiefs and hypocrisy in his govt. Save your rants.

Very right there. People, myself included r so disillusioned about what he's really up to right now, can it be said he's getting compromised? Little faith in d man is slowly ebbing away.

I didn't realise I was conversing with a fool. All I need is just one rational thinking viewer and my job is done. Take a peep into my previous topics and posts and draw your conclusions from there. I don't need appraisal from your entire household neither can your entire family prevent me from expressing personal view on national issues but if you feel pained, in the words of Oshiomole-go and die.

His sentiments and discrimination seem to have taken a higher proportion.
