I thought it was only me who was looking in that direction, I asked a friend who is into real estate in Abuja, he shook his head and said NO. Maybe because of how I described it, it sounded barbaric but the point is that is it indestructible by the usual suspects, water, hot pots, lack of maintenance etc.

Notice the kitchen worktop, it has tiles on it. I think one can make it look better by for example placing granite\marble on it. That wouldn't have all the tiling and grouting effect that standard tiling comes with.

I get lizards on my walls all the time you don't keep the door open at all

I hate those things (lizards and geckos). I am very much concerned about them when I chose outside paints..
I am sure screeding the external wall will stop them... they may not be able to climb it because of its smoothness...
